I brought a flat tire to Cybert last week and told the mechanic that I needed to buy a new tire and get it mounted/installed. How easy would it have been for him to agree and sell me a tire?! Instead, he thoroughly checked out my tire, diagnosed the problem as a leak in the seal against the rim, fixed it, and made a whole lot less money off of me than he could have if he were less than honest. Thank you!! Also, this was all done immediately upon my arrival. 0 wait time! Pros: honest, quick, friendly Cons: I didn't see any coffee or waiting room. Did I miss it?

I have gone to this place on and off over the years and have had OK repair results (but prices seem high). However, they have always been hard to deal with and John, the owner, seems to get worse every time I go. He does not like it when you ask questions and even if you prove him wrong he will not back down. Last time I was there he said he was going to research a problem for me but did not. Then when I did the research and found a solution for him he got mad and said I was "trying to tell him his business." Finally, when I came back (after they had my car over 24 hours) and I question why something was still not done he got so upset he told me to go sit in the waiting room because he could not "deal" with me. Honestly, they do OK work- but I'm not sure it's worth the drama.... Pros: Decent work, clean Cons: John is rude/staff has bad attitude!

My review is a little late. I went here about 6 months ago. The front desk man was very very rude and not helpful. Asking questions just seemed to annoy him and he didn't have any interest in helping me. The work done was average and a bit overpriced. Overall not the best experience. Pros: not much Cons: front desk not good

To my surprise, the owner John was there to greet us. We just needed a NYS car inspection. All the guys - Rafael and all - were friendly, helpful and courteous. Within an hour, we were done. And the coffee was amazing for a auto shop. That's right - amazing. I'd absolutely trust and refer others to this place. They can be trusted - especially if you consider they've been around for almost 100 years! Not many NY places can say that.

It's not a surprise that these guys have been in business for almost 100 years. Places like this are hard-to-find these days. We went to have our car inspected while another was having her tires changed. We sat having freshly brewed coffee in a clean and comfortable waiting area. Before you knew it, we were done. Prices are fair and they make it a joy to visit an Auto shop. I don't want my car to have any issues but would absolutely trust the folks at Cybert for help and advice. Talk to John, the owner.

John, Rafael and the rest of the guys at Cybert were amazing. We called in the morning regarding getting our car inspected and were told they would be able to squeeze us in before 1pm. When we got there, we had to wait only about 30 minutes. Luckily we found a spot on the street to park and wait. Once the car was taken in, we were invited to have coffee and sit in the waiting room. That coffee spoke volumes about how they care for their customers. Highly good quality - fresh beans and a very comfortable waiting area. Once done, their was NO tricks or anything. Just $37 and we were done. And they were all extremely friendly, helpful and honest. We have found a place we can TRUST and will be going there for our tires soon. Looking forward to another outstanding experience. Pros: Reliable, honest, quality.

I had a minivan in NYC for 6 years, and Cybert was absolutely the best for accurate diagnostics, clear course of action, and fairness of price. I was always impressed w the cleanliness of the garage, and the helpfulness of the staff. The owner, John Everett, always provided very attentive service and communicated well w his staff. He also recommended a local body shop that turned out to be equally skilled. (However, I must agree w the poster who commented on Elli--I had found him rude to both customers and staff.) Overall, I would recommend Cybert highly--it's so hard to find an honest repair shop anywhere, esp. NYC, it's great to know Cybert's is there to help!!

I stopped in today because I needed an emissions inspection and I have a bad oxygen sensor that needs to be replaced in my Jeep before inspection. I showed up shortly before 7, since these guys don't take appointments and work on a "first come, first served basis". I had already been to an auto parts store to use the free plug in diagnosis so I knew that this was the problem, but don't have a place to work on the car in the city. I asked how much to change the sensor and do the inspection but was very suprised to have my business turned away because, in John's own words he" wouldn't make any money without doing a full diagnostic and selling me parts." When I asked him how much all of this would cost he told me that he wouldn't help me since I had already figured out what was causing my check engine light to come on. All of this seemed very suspicious, as I have worked on many of my cars in the past and knew that this was not a big job. In my opinion, these guys are looking for people to overcharge for unnecessary work and are very rude. You should have seen John's reaction when I told him that I would leave him negative reviews.... Pros: Garage looks nice from the street. Cons: Rude and unhelpful once inside. No appointments.
