I hate Daffy's. I know I shouldn't, but the weeding through all teh horrible stuff to find something good just isn't in my nature. If, however, that search for a bargain is in yours, this is one of the best places you can go, and it's much more civilized than Century 21 and generally has better prices.

You may not find exactly what you are looking for at Daffy's, but you will get a good deal on whatever you find. Prices are SLASHED and a good percentage of the items are designer. I especially like the women's shoe section. I have found some great Cynthia Rowley's there for a fraction of the price of a regular department store.

Daffy's lacks the niceties of a large department store. Although a few have gotten the idea and installed semi-private cubicles in the dressing rooms, this is not a place for modesty. You'll probably be changing in a room with a cast of characters worthy of a Sex and the City casting call. Daffy's is like a box of choc'lates. You never know what you're going to find. One week it's turquoise suede high heeled cowboy boots - just a size too small, another, a pair of Italian jeans that fit EXACTLY RIGHT. Or a Les Copains coat for a fraction of what you know it sells for at stores with chicer shopping bags. The lingerie is especially inspiring. What Daffy's lacks in ambiance it more than makes up for when it comes to delivering the goods

Up on the upper east side bargains are as rare as hen's teeth except if you're shopping in Daffy's. The store (an escalator ride down from street level) has its merchandise appetizingly displayed. The prices are unbeatable and the quality of their products although not top notch considering their prices are really true values.
