What is a girl to do when her dinner or show in Chelsea is out and she doesn't know where to spend the rest of the evening? Head over to 23rd Street and 10th Avenue to the Half King and enjoy a couple of pints (Irish, English, Belgian). We have ended up here after nights at Chelsea Piers or dinner in the neighborhood. It is usually crowded on weekends, but I am not sure about weeknights. If you have table service late night, 20% will be added to the bill -- don't miss it when looking at the check through your beer goggles. I have eaten lunch here on outside benches during the summer. Food is good and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend the walnut fudge brownie, although I am not a fan of the vanilla gelato served aside it.
