I can remember craving a banana cream pie and calling them to see if I could order one. The clerk asked the baker if they had any and he informed him he could run over to the grocery store and buy some banana's and make one. How's that for service !!! They make the freshest pies and cakes and they taste so delicious that it will keep you coming back for more. Prices are reasonable and products are superior !!! Seems like a hum drum little place when you pull up but after you taste their confections..you won't care what the place looks like..just how good their baked good are !

When you want to go for a sit-down Mexican meal, this is the place. They have a full bar with great traditional drinks. The appetizers are good, but not too filling. They make the guacamole at your table. The platters are the best deal, as they come with your choice of 2: refrieds, black beans, white rice, yellow rice, fried plaintains. On the weekends, they have roving Mariachi's to add to the flavor. Very large location. Great for a get together with friends.

THis newspaper is great. It gives you all the news that you need to know for Newtown. I get it delivered every Friday and it's the first piece of mail I read that day. It has a huge town sports section and local news and entertainment. The classifieds come in very handy. The paper is a good value and it keeps you up on town events and your neighbors. The back in time section is very entertaining.

I have been attending GCF for over a year and have been a member since December 2004. I started visiting the church after my son attended their vacation bible school, which they offer every year for 1 week in the summer for free to all children ages 5-12. I love this church because everyone is very friendly and caring. Everyone treats you with love and respect. You can really feel the love of Jesus Christ in every member. The pastors are wise and full of the love of Jesus. This is a great family church with many activities for all age groups including a wonderful program for teens. Please stop by and experience a church environment like no other. Sunday services start at 8am and 10am and run for approximately 1 1/2 hours with childcare for all ages including infants. We hope to see you there. God Bless and remember Jesus Loves You.

I have used Newtown Youth Services in Newtown, CT for filling positions doing babysitting, cleaning, filing and website editing. They consistently send me qualified, polite and friendly teens to do the work. They let me know up front what the pay scale for certain jobs are. They even help me refine what my needs really are by talking through with me what my expections are.
I highly recommend Newtown Youth Services Job Bank for any local individual or business looking for any kind of extra help in the office or at home.

More
The Meeting House on Main Street in Newtown is right in the middle of West Street. In the old colonial style of having the main town building in the middle of a main street through town. Actually the meeting house was originally located in the middle of a very wide main street and was moved to it's present location in 1792.
The Meeting House is exactly at the Flag Pole in Newtown - another town landmark (some say traffic hazard!). The meeting house is used for weddings, memorial services, community events. My choir - The Newtown Choral Society performs there in May and December.
The parking is limited - a few spaces in front of the meeting house - but there is parking behind the library and businesses along main street that are a short, pleasant walk to the stone steps of the meeting house.

This small restaurant has a nice, clean atmosphere and some of the best pizza in town. They have all kinds of thin crust New York style pizza and Sicilian as well. They also serve a good range of entrees and desserts. They do deliver pizza as well.
Highly recommend it!
