The Inn at Newtown is where we go for "special occassion" dinners. The food is superb. They have a soup, that I almost alway order - it's a lobster and corn bisque that is simply amazing. The ambiance there is charming and comfortable. The wait-staff is excellent. There's limited parking right along Main Street and a large parking lot in the back.

The Fashion Exchange TRULY breaks all stereotypical images one might hold of a consignment shoppe. It is, in fact, a virtual oasis of exquisite, gently worn (often new, with the original tags) designer clothing. The clothing is in impeccable condition and priced at a fraction of what you would pay in a high-end boutique or department store. The jewelry and accessories, which the owner carefully selects from collections she finds in New York, are reason enough to spend a quiet afternoon, perusing the shop. The atmosphere is tranquil and unhurried, with none of the high-pressure sales-pitches you endure in other clothing/ jewelry stores. Many of the customers have been loyal patrons for 20+ years: a true testiment to the enduring appeal of The Fashion Exchange. It is WELL worth a trip to visit this one-of-a kind shop, but allow yourself plenty of time to explore. This is not a shopping experience you are likely to rush through!

I love going to the drive up teller at Newtown Savings Bank on Main Street in Newtown. The people who work there are almost always smiling. The service is fast and friendly and very convenient to running my other errands in town. With the new building renovations, the ATM is now on the opposite side of the building from the drive through tellers.

The homemade ravioli are amazing, the best I've had this side of the Atlantic! The food is delicious, the service is delightful. The owner is sincere and attentive, he knows many customers by name.
We love to frequent this restaurant, and can't wait to go again!
Btw, try the better-than-sex martini... you'll be going back for more!

The food at Dynasty is very good with a wide selection of your usual Chinese far. Yuo can eat in or take out. Unfortunately, no delivery. I am stuck on the Sweet & Sour Chicken, but my husband is more adventurous and has had many different meals and never a problem.

I received a coupon for a cut and style at Ricci's. What a great place! I left a great haircut , the products I needed, and spent time talking to the receptionists while I waited...I felt like I was with my friends. Everyone is so nice. I just moved here from Texas and was worried about finding a new hairstylist. I found a great stylist and I think... a great group of friendly people throughout the salon. The owner Dan took the time to introduce himself and welcome me to Newtown! He had such positive energy, you knew he loved what he was doing. Thanks Ricci's

The Blue Colony is al most an institution off exit 10 on i-84. Open 24 hours a day, it is the perfect place for travellers to pop in and grab a bite to eat. They serve traditional diner food here with the house specialties being waffles and carrot cake. The service here is often sarcastic and a bit off-colored, but warm and very friendly nonetheless. Town regulars are treated like royalty and often are like family to the staff. A fun place to go for a casual meal.

i love love love the food here!! have been going to dynasty for years (sometimes twice a week!) and still can't get sick of the food. their portions are ample and the service is fast & friendly. ***recommendations: the sesame chicken and chicken w/broccoli are on the top of my list.
