The Inn at Newtown is where we go for "special occassion" dinners. The food is superb. They have a soup, that I almost alway order - it's a lobster and corn bisque that is simply amazing. The ambiance there is charming and comfortable. The wait-staff is excellent. There's limited parking right along Main Street and a large parking lot in the back.

The Inn at Newtown is where we go for "special occassion" dinners. The food is superb. They have a soup, that I almost alway order - it's a lobster and corn bisque that is simply amazing. The ambiance there is charming and comfortable. The wait-staff is excellent. There's limited parking right along Main Street and a large parking lot in the back.

Located right along Main Street, the Inn at Newtown is one of my favorite restaurants. The owners also own the Cookhouse in New Milford and the Harvest in Brookfield. They have a great selection with steaks and seafood, but they also have lighter fares of sandwiches and salads. A great, kind staff, and wonderful food! You can spend a decent amount on your check here, but you can also find more afforable items on the menu if thats what you're looking for.
