Sweet Tomatoes is the perfect name because the tomato sauce on their pizza truly is really sweet. They also have the perfect balance between sauce and cheese so the pizza is not overly cheesey. Big slices are a plus. The toppings are really fresh. And, the thin crust is perfect. All around this might be the best pizza in boston area.
Pros: Great Sauce
Cons: Stops serving slices after 4pm

I had lunch at Bill's last week and it was great. I tried a couple different slices and they all were delicous. I strongly recommend trying the chicken ranch pizza, it tasted great and the slices were huge. This place is fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I love this place! And it's our go-to if we're working late and want something quick - I can order on the phone when exiting off the pike and when I get there 10 minutes later it's just being packed up and ready to go. The wontons are awesome (we usually get them steamed - yummy!), and my husband is obsessed with Beef with Stir Fried Rice Noodles. We've ordered many different things from the soups, noodle & rice dishes and haven't had a bad meal yet. I took my dad here the first time he visited us and every time he comes now he always asks to go back :) If you're looking for a nice sit-down place for a quiet meal this isn't the place - as the staff review mentioned it's more of a cafeteria style place, which is fine if you're not looking for a nice night out. Being from NY we've eaten at a lot of asian/noodle places and this beats of them. They really can say they are No. 1!
Pros: Excellent food, lots of it for very little, and friendly staff
Cons: None

I can go there for a luncheon buffet, alone, with business colleagues or the kids and satisfy everyone! My budget is happy (noontime buffet is around $6.00) and the experience and service are outstanding. Always a waiter around to refill glasses or take away dirty dishes and entertain questions about India! A great date night spot as well, or a place to impress out-of-town guests. Always a winner!

Although other competition has moved into Newton Centre (e.g., Cold Stone), JP Licks is still the best ice cream in Newton Center. My favorite is the oreo coffee ice cream. They make great ice cream cakes too!

I always have a great meal at cafe nicholas. I usually go to the one in newton centre, but occasionally go to the one in washington square in brookline too.First of all the pizza is great, they make a terrific homemade sauce, and I highly recommend the marghertia pizza ( or chicken margherita), it is my favorite.I also like their pasta dishes, their main chef, Junior, makes a great chicken balsamico, and chicken marsala. And you cannot beat the prices, great value for friends and family for casual dining. The breads and rolls are always fresh and delicious.Great salads too.The previous review, I can understand the wait-staff/counter issue. It is kind of a hybrid, counter service/table service restaurant, mostly counter service, but they definitely wait on tables in the back as best possible. Sometimes when they are busy it is hard for them to wait tables in the back efficiently. But this should not turn you off, it you have reasonable expectations. They also have a terrific room in back with fireplace and 50 TV.It is great for lunch during work, late nite dinner (they are open till 10) and I always see families having birthday parties in the back on the weekends.Lastly, it is a local family owned business, Nick the owner is a class act, who is a caring member of the business community and the local schools and charities. I have known Nick for 7 years, and frequent his cafe at least once per week, and give him 5 stars.

Tango Mango is wicked good!! A very delicious Mexican/Southwestern American eatery! They cater, albeit a bit pricey on the menu items. Quick and friendly service and they've just expanded to add more seating for regular afterschool crowds. The only downside is the wait. The line to get service at the counter (the only option) can be long and tedious. Otherwise, good eating for tasty take out or enjoying a lengthy lunch break! Just enough of a kick to the homemade guac and salsa to make me come back again and again. Fresh chips but there is an extra charge for salsa.
