Simply, simply the best. (And yes, before we started seeing him 15 years ago, we had tried the rest.) Our family has been going to Dr. Cohen since 1994. I have referred all my family and friends to him. My sister drives from Los Angeles to see Dr. Cohen. I guarantee that you will not find a more honest and caring vetand he's a specialist to boot. My husband told Dr Cohen that when he retires we will just have to stop getting dogs. I could write a book about all the wonderful things Dr Jeff Cohen and his dear wife (and excellent vet nurse) and his staff has done for our family pets over the years. Most recently, Dr Cohen saved our silly dog that ate huge amounts of chocolate. When we came to his door frantic at midnight, his lovely wife , Deborah greeted us like she was expecting us and they were both still attending sick animals. They are the best and our dog is with us for Christmas. The joy of having all our family with us for the holidays---Priceless!

When your pet is dying, you don't want to take him to just anyone, you want to be sure the person and his help people are THE BEST and I almost learned that lesson the hard way. But I found DR. COHEN! DR. COHEN is by far and away the best veterinarian I have ever used and this is my 6th dog. My boy was vomiting and the local vet wasn't helping him so I searched the internet and all the praises people say are true. If I hadn't taken my dog to him, he would be dead now. Dr. Cohen didn't hesitate to take him into surgery late at night and stay with him all night and save his life. Bless you, doctor! And don't feed your dogs those raw hide bones!

Simply the BEST there is. Dr. Cohen and his extraordinary team work miracles every day. I've been lucky to see this with my 2 dogs-- my 8 lb. yorkie ate 8 oz. of dark chocolate. Within 3 hours her heartbeat was 180, liver function +400 pts, and sugar +200 pts. The amazing Carryanne at reception made me bring her in immediately and the incredible Dr. C would not give up even when the officewas long closed. By midnight her heart dropped 20 pts, by 8 AM it was 100 and normal by 4 when we picked her up. The nurses, receptionists, techs, and Dr. simply, would not give up and saved her life. I called hourly and was a maniac. They truly are the most special, caring team in the world, and we will be forever greatful for all they have done. They are lifesavers and my husband and I will never forget what they did. We are lucky to have such an amazing place in Newport Beach . Please - do not go anywhere else. They are the best!

Great Vet: I have been going to this great doctor and his helpers for years & they are the best by far in the area and beyond!! We use to live local on the Peninsula but recently moved so we drive almost 1hour to continue to use this vet service. Awesome, loving and extremely competent. This is a great guy with an incredible brain taking care of animals out of pure love. I would highly recommend Newport Veterinary Hospital to everyone who has a pet. Everyone there we have encountered is kind, professional and make you feel that your pet is in good hands!

Even after we moved 50 miles away, Dr. Cohen is still our vet and we make the drive. He is so worth it. Sure, we tried various local veterinarians when gas was so expensive but there's no comparison so we did what was best for the pups. We cannot recommend Dr. Cohen and his hospital in Newport Beach strongly enough. We have paid more at other places but we've never had the expertise he offers anywhere else. We've been to other specialists and they charged a heck of a lot more and didn't take care of the whole big picture. Specialists rarely take care of the regular things but Dr. Jeff Cohen does it all!

I cannot tell you how lucky the profession is to have this great Dr. Cohen in it! Taking my dogs and cat to Dr. Cohen has been a joy and absolutely wonderful experience for myself and the furred-ones. Without him, many of my pets over the years would have suffered or died prematurely. He is a great doctor and knows how to take care of his clients and staff. I have worked for another vet before myself and I can tell you that Dr. Cohen is hands down one of the BEST doctors I have had the privilege of treating my pets. Him and his team will do all they can to provide for your pet while in their care. I would recommend Newport Beach Vet hospital to anyone seeking medical advice for their pets.

He is great. He graduated top in his class. The Veterinary Board refers many clients to him looking for a good diagnostician. Other vets usual refer their patience to him for cardio problems. I used him for years before I moved and he was always very kind to my dogs. He is also not one of those vets that wants to run every test in the book. He starts out with the least invasive and least expensive and goes from there.
