Rubys is great. Food is good, but overpriced. But I love the 50s diner theme and here in Balboa, its at the end of the pier. You can even sit on top of the restaurant, which is great. The service was friendly. Nice experience. What WASNT nice, was that they have NO restroom. And when you have a little one who is potty training and has to go potty...that doesnt work out too well. After begging the manager to let her run the little one into the restroom that is for employees only, my cousin had to run her little girl all the way to the start of the pier. That is not a quick run. I dont think I will sit down and eat here again. They do offer a pickup window. I would take that option next time.

Many of my reviews may be... succinct, so get used to it. Burger- Had a gouda burger. It was eh. It was a burger. Honestly, Montage really does have some of the best burgers out there. Fries - Pretty good. Not stellar, but pretty good Banana cream malt - I woke up from a dream about this thing. It's one of the best shakes/malts (fuck shakes, malts are where it's at man) I've ever had. Dammit I want another one. Too bad for me. Service - perky waitresses, 50s diner blablabla. Yawn.
