Terry Landers, owner of Salon L, has done my hair since 1996. I wouldn't dream of ever going to another stylist to do my hair cut or color. He knows my hair and what it can (and can't) do. If something won't work for my hair type, he'll tell me. I have referred friends, relatives, and co-workers to Terry and not one of them has been unhappy with his work. Run, don't walk to Terry. Let him fix your hair. You'll be glad you did. Pros: Great customer service and hair knowledge Cons: What are the drawbacks?

I could not have asked for more !! This salon is a great find if you are looking for a beautiful location and excellent service. My hair looks so good I have never been treated so well at a salon before everyone that worked there was friendly and helpful they all work together as a team its such a relaxing and care free experince I will be sending all of my friends and family to this wonderful salon. I've been going to Salon L since the day Terry Landers opened his doors - he's fantastic!!! He owned his own salon out of the old Four Season's Hotel in Newport Beach for many, many years. I was his customer back then and I followed him to his new location. I've never had a bad experience with Terry or any member of his staff from the first moment I sat in his chair. Besides the GREAT haircut I've always had by Terry....... I'm impressed with the genuine kindness and service I get not only from him, but his enitre staff. The Salon is modern and hip, yet you feel at home and comfortable as if you are with family. I highly recommend Salon L to anyone! Terry you're the BEST and I appreciate the great work you do on my hair!!!! Cons: There are none

Salon L was recommended to me through a former coworker. When I saw the place, I wondered if I could afford a haircut! It's very fancy and modern inside, with big comfortable chairs to sit in if you have to wait. I met with April, the stylist my friend recommended. She took me from blah to WOW! in 45-ish minutes. My hair had never looked so good! She knows what to do with your hair so that you get the best look for you - not just the same old boring cut. She's very knowledgeable, very sweet, and a little sassy. And for that matter, everyone who works at the salon is extremely nice and friendly. My expectations have consistently been exceeded at this salon. I've been going here for over a year and a half. Though it can be a bit pricier than other salons ($45 - 80 for a haircut, depending on the expertise of the stylist), it is well worth the extra money. They will leaving you looking and feeling fabulous! Pros: Great staff, creative and knowledgeable stylists, amazing results!

I am incredibly picky when selecting a stylist. I had some bad experiences when I was younger, but my hair is finally long, and in pretty good condition - so I protect it fiercely! ; ) That said, I don't think I've ever found a better stylist for cut or color than Tiffany Shibazaki at Salon L... (I've lived in Santa Barbara, LA, Seattle, NY and Boston...) Her prices are reasonable (very affordable for the area), she is really well-informed and funny, and she did the amazing: colored my 30-something hair (some grays - ugh) to match the picture I brought in of Fergie ; ) --- as well as anyone could have, realistically! It was really close AND accomplished with a PARTIAL highlight / lowlight. I have only received this kind of service at one other Salon: Prive on Melrose --- from Michael Canale (known for some celebrity clients - e.g. Jennifer Aniston) who has since opened his own Beverly Hills salon. Prior to Tiffany, he was my all-time favorite. Now, they're pretty much tied. Additionally, I visited Michael for color (he's probably an excellent stylist as well). I know that Tiffany is great at both color and style. Last of all, she spends so much time on my hair - getting it right, and she's just a fun person. I feel like I just received Beverly Hills / Newport Beach / NYC, etc....treatment when I leave. I had intended to type this a long time ago: She's done my hair for about a year, and I've never been disappointed. Great Salon. Great Stylist! Pros: Talent! (and price) Cons: I don't know of any...
