I am a avid shopper always looking for somthing different and great quality. I found this little store in Newport and every time I go to Newport I go here. I even make special trips to go to this store. Great jewelry and dresses. You leave there knowing not everyone else will have the same stuff when you show up to an event.

This is quite a sizable shop. I didn't think from the outside it would be this big. Most of the shop seems to be devoted to houseplants rather than cut flowers and arrangements.
We were having an arrangement done for a friend who'd just had a baby. It turned out wonderful. They didn't do the typical baby pastel pink colors but used several different shades from that palette so the arrangement ended up looking quite spectacular for the $35 we spent on it! I was very impressed with the quality of the flowers, though I do wish they had had some fresia on hand to put in the arrangement and they did not.
There's plenty of parking and this shop is easy to find.

Wonderful home made treats for your best friend, made with non-dairy frosting on top which my puppy just loves. Small staffed, and pet friendly, it's a wonderful corner nook with all kinds of pet novelties if you are so inclined.
We also bought a doormat that is very candid and cute, everyone that sees it wants one!
They also organize get togethers at times for local pet owners. The last one they had was a pug get together.
Parking isn't great, as it won't be anywhere near Thames St...but it's not a bad walk from all nearby parking.

We found Goodies by the sea on a recent trip to Newport, RI. They had a large variety of candy I didn't think they even made anymore. Treats from my youth like Razzles, Bottlecaps, Spree, Necco Wafers, Gold Rush Gum, Pixie Stix, candy necklaces, even those sugar buttons that come on the paper rolls, that look like colored dots on adding machine tape. Took me right back to my childhood when my Mom would get us this stuff for long car trips or going to the movies! They also have a wide variety of chocolates, fudge, cookies, even things like TV show lunch boxes and every conceivable kind of Monopoly Game. Well worth checking out if you happen to be in Newport!

Kristina carries such a wide and unique variety of New York/ LA style designers for example Karta, Alice and Olivia, Free People, Alice and Trixie, Shoshanna, Ella Moss, Seven, Paige, William Rast, J Brand, Kiki Pearl, MZ Wallace, Ticci Cabanna, Akiko, AKA NY, Corey Lynn Calter and a jewelry collection that could entertain you for an hour. I'm a long time established customer and the girls who work there truly take care of me every time I go in. The service is exceptional, the girls are relaxed and friendly purely there for your assistance. If you are visiting the Newport area and would like to spend a nice afternoon of shopping make sure KRS is first on your list!
Pros: Plenty of parking near by, great location-close to many other shops.
Cons: Not on Thames, next to Banana Republic which is on Thames though.

A very small, quaint shop in Bowen's Wharf with a highly experienced in-house scrimshaw artist. The shop is charming with authentic, licensed work including, but not limited to, ivory, gold and Nantucket Baskets. Due to the nature of the work, everything is quite expensive, but the pieces are redolent of historic New England. There is a variety of items, that, for the type of work, is quite wide. An excellent store to stop in, even just for the curious!
PROS: Charming, fascinating, historical
CONS: Very pricy
