the stone church is an amazing venue. It's a great place to go and chill with some friends while hearing some great music. In the basement of an old church, the wooden decor lends itself to a cozy atmosphere and the acoustics are great for all the musicians they bring in. The beer selection is decent, but they also have some good local stuff so you get the chance to try something new!

With fresh baked goods and great service, once you visit you're sure to become a regular. On weekend mornings the place can fill up fast, so be sure to get there early for seats.

I think that the women who work there do there jobs well. They take your order, it is always correct, and get it to you fast. They do not need to be all chatty and make you feel good like the other needy user wrote.

crackskulls is on the main street in Newmarket, and it's a great place to stop in during a weekend stroll, get a cup of coffee and browse the book selection. For a small shop they have a pretty good selection, but I enjoy going just for the experience, as the store has a great feel to it.

I LOVE this place! Not only do they do traditional bouquets and corsages, they have GREEN plants EVERYWHERE! I have gotten nice arrangements but I wish I could take home some of the green potted plants they have. My cats would just eat the leaves off, but for someone who doesn't have psychotic cats, this is the place to go!
I often just go in to experience GREEN in the winter. The website is good too, but just for arrangements. You have to go in to see the plants that are available. AWESOME PLACE!!!!!!
PROS: Greenery YEAR ROUND!
CONS: I can't get tropical plants because my cats eat them

I love this garden center. Their hanging flower pots are so beautiful I want to take them all home. The location is very close to Durham and Lee. Everyone who works here has been really nice, helpful, and friendly. This is the only place I go for plants.

When you walk up the stairs to the dining room of the Riverworks, you are surrounded by a wooden framed room that totally invites you in. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a large selection of vegetarian fare that is all tasty, not just something with meat removed. Additionally, their daily soups, appetizer, and specials are ALWAYS spectacular.
I will often go for the Portabello Mushroom sandwhich. It is AWESOME! But their specials always have an appealing mix of flavors I never would have put together. For example once we had an artichoke, bread, and cream sauce appetizer that I never would have thought to make at home. It was also so awesome I was wiping up the extra sauce with my bread.
If you don't like a smokey atmosphere, the an evening at the Riverworks is for you. Don't go in the afternoon because only the bar is open and that is smokey.
PROS: Specials that are truly different & good veggie food
CONS: Not a lot of parking in Downtown Newmarket

Sunday a 10 a.m. they have live jazz. Great breakfast menu with some unusual choices. Tex Mex for breakfast? Great Bloody Marys.
They are open daily for dinner. Breakfast and lunch on the weekends only.
