FYI - They do not let you say certain keywords here so I am replacing the appropriate term with "Norwalk Virus".
Usually my girlfriend writes her own reviews, but she is sick with Norwalk Virus from the chicken tempura she had tonight at Akasaka - So I, her boyfriend will do the review for her.
First off the obvious: After hardly eating all day, we went out for dinner here, she had Chicken Tempura (which is now down the toilet due to Norwalk Virus) and I had the standard sushi combo. Both came with an iceberg lettuce salad with hardly any taste, luckily it was smothered with dressing (sarcasm). About half of the sushi on the plate was fresh, the rest a little suspect. The ginger and wasabi were the heavily food colored/loaded with msg type. The decor in the place is nice enough, although the accents seem like they were picked out by some frat house guys from a shop like Bombay in the mall. The waitstaff don't speak English, as we were asked 4 times if we ordered a Strawberry Daquiri. When I called to report the Norwalk Virus I was hung up on, so I drove back in person. After I was lied to and told that there was no manager, and that someone might call me, I began to raise my voice and suddenly a manager appeared. At first he refused to refund the dinner, stating that the food was fine. I tried to be cordial for nearly 5 minutes. It wasn't until I nearly went into an all out rage, threatening to call the h-e-a-l-t-h dept and file a department of homeland security report (INS) for staffing illegal employees that they finally refunded the dinner. I was scolded for being loud by a fat shape-shifting blob of a man at the sushi bar (I would have liked to hospitalize him, but he was with children), while others in the place seemed concerned that they might fall ill as well.
For heaven's sake do not go here!
Pros: None
Cons: Food, service, management, everything basically

This little shop on Broadway feels so out of place in New Haven...a collection of chic, color-sorted jewelry that is oh so trendy, with scarves and purses to match. But that doesn't mean it isn't fun, and though some of the designs rival the cheap teen stores in the malls (like Claire's), there are great pieces to be found to liven up any woman's wardrobe. Mixed in with the feathers and painted tin are potato pearls set in silver with citrine and beautifully embroidered silk scarves, and a host of "in between" items that could either be worn out on the town or spark just the tiniest bit of controversy if worn to the office. It makes me smile to go in, even if I don't find anything worthwhile - sort of like Sephora stores, it's nice to look at pretty things in a pretty setting.

My friends and I used to order food from Alpha Delta Pizza while we were at college in New Haven. The food is good and fairly priced; the only draw back is that the delivery takes quite a while to arrive. Their hours are perfect for college students because they deliver until 3 am during the week and until 4 am on the weekends. I would recommend Alpha Delta to both families and students.

Calling a plumber is usually an absolute nightmare. All those names in the phone book. Waiting all day for nobody to show up. Watching your money flow down the drain. This is why you need to call Sarah Strong.
The scary stuff is over. Sarah owns and operates her own plumbing company. She's a wonderful person, a caring and involved community member, and she has a sparkling personality. Did I mention she's an excellent plumber?

Anna Liffey's is a great place to have lunch or dinner, or to just have a drink. Most of the establishement is located in the basement of the building, so it remains cool in the sumemr, and is well-heated in the winter. You'll find traditional Irish pub fare here, including fish-and-chips and Guinness stew. You might also have an Irish waitress! The bar is well-stocked also. Food is wonderful, prices are on par with similar establishments.
