I dont normally go to salons to get my hair cut. I read a few reviews and with some prodding from my girl friend I decided to give it a shot. With a nice glass of wine in me (Thank you Cheryl) it eased the fact I was getting my hair cut in a salon. My appointment was with Christie. I left most of the decision making up to her. She gave me highlights and lowlights and cut my hair. When I was finished my hair looked absolutely amazing! I looked like I walked out of GQ! Thank you Christie, 2 weeks later and it still looks great! See you soon!

I was not very impressed with my experience with Karma. The service is wonderful but the overall outcome of my hair was not that great for the price. I thought they were on the pricey side. I saw other stylists doing great hair and color but my color didn't come out as nice. I thought for the amount of money I was paying I would have an amazing color but I didn't. They do offer you a complimentary drink and have a great 7 day policy. If your not happy with your hair you can go back within 7 days with no additional charge. I took advantage of it but it didn't help me out much.

Go see CHRISTIE! I am very picky with my hair stylists, she came highly recommended. My color was beautiful, my cut was probably one of the best cuts i've ever received. She seemed so up with new styles and techniques. I am so happy with my hair and i've gotten so many compliments! The salon has such a cool vibe and I definitely will be back

If you want someone to chop your hair, go somewhere else. Karma is New Haven's answer to New York stylists at a fraction of the price. If you are used to going to your local barber or supercuts, you may want to look here. It's truly an experience rather than just a haircut or style appointment you'd get elsewhere. You will initially be greeted by one of the many talented staff to a complimentary beverage. Generally, you'll get a light head massage before each treatment to get your hair stimulated. If you're looking for a terrific style and experience, this is it! It's not just a haircut, but a hair experience!

I used to go to whatever hairdresser would take me on the day I was ready to cut my hair. Then I started noticing that everyone in my office had *really* great hair...lo and behold, they were all using the same new salon: Karma. I decided to give them a try. I walked in, and they offered me my choice of a chai or glass of wine. My hairstylist started off with a 15 minute head massage. He then spent 2 hours making a masterpiece out of my hair...and true to his word, it never needed "product" or fancy styling to look great. As evidence of their skill at Karma, I submit: the mark of a great haircut is how long it looks good. I grew my short hair out for a year and a half before my wedding. It kept fabulous shape the entire time. People kept complimenting me on the style...a full year after it was cut! The atmosphere is great, and you'll leave feeling like a superstar. All of their stylists are exceptionally talented - you'll be in good hands with anyone there...but I have to put a shout out to my own guy, Gabriel. (Men - Karma can cut your hair too. Free cleanups make it cost efficient. Stop going to supercuts!)
