Calling a plumber is usually an absolute nightmare. All those names in the phone book. Waiting all day for nobody to show up. Watching your money flow down the drain. This is why you need to call Sarah Strong.
The scary stuff is over. Sarah owns and operates her own plumbing company. She's a wonderful person, a caring and involved community member, and she has a sparkling personality. Did I mention she's an excellent plumber?

The City Farmers' Markets of New Haven are a joy and a delectable delight. The Wooster Square Market opened in May, the rest (in Fair Haven, Edgewood, and Downtown) open in July.
All the produce is Connecticut Grown, lots of growers are organic certified or use organic methods, and everything is delicious. Here are a few of my favorite things:
Farm River Honey
Cato Corner & Beaver Brook Farm Cheeses
Fabled Foods bread
free-range eggs
GREENS!
and this week...strawberries.
See you at the market!

Yale has so much to offer for everyone. The campus is beautiful, and on a warm spring day you can't help but fall in love with the place. New Haven itself gets a bad rap, but as far as small cities go, it has a great selection of restaurants, bars and cultural activities. It's common sense not to walk on scary dark streets late at night, so as long as you follow that advice, you should do just fine in New Haven.
With the residential college system for the undergraduates, students get the best of both worlds - a great research institution, and the personal attention of a small college.
For God for country and for Yale!

More
If you like Ethiopean food, Lalibela is an easy sell. If you've never tried it, you owe it to yourself to make Lalibela your first experience with Ethiopean food.
Full of spices (but not too hot), Lalibela's lunch buffet is a perfect introduction to the cuisine. You'll get to try the lentils and other legumes, the collard greens, the carrots and green beans, a few meat dishes (if that's your thing), and their cold offerings - a beet salad and a tomato and pepper salad.
The service is not the best, but the food is tasty and satisfying, and no one will ever pressure you to leave before you're ready. A great place for a lingering dinner, or lunch with a friend you haven't seen in a while - or anytime you're craving a good meal.

This is the bar I've been dreaming of, and if you like:
* all the favorite bar activities- darts, pool table, Buck Hunter for those of you whole like to pretend to shoot things while drinking indoors.
* an exhastive beer list - beers you've never heard of from places you've never been. Delicious selection, comfortably priced.
* peanuts, and shells on the floor.
* a bar for all seasons: outdoor seating, white table cloth dining, wonderful taproom.
...than you have too.

More
Located at 1044 Chapel Street in Sherman's Alley, this tea shop boasts over 70 varieties of tea, which line the walls in individual glass bottles, baked goods and sandwiches. Few tea shops are available in Connecticut, much less in the Urban environment of New Haven Yale area. The few other tea shops I know of, while quant, have limited selection and is sort of more "little old ladies" go to tea. The tea selections here offer a much wider choice for the less traditional palate.
Sit for a specially-prepared pot of tea with a friend, or grab a delicious smoothie or bubble tea. I would love to find some others, but I know of no other place in CT for bubble tea. If you have not had bubble tea, it is green tea (but tastier than your typical 'acquired taste" type green) with tapicoa "bubble" balls - sort of the marshmellows in hot cocoa concept, but the tea infuses the balls and they have a sweet juicy quality in a drink that is very yummy but rather good for you.

I don't know how these guys do it, but their flowers and arrangements are absolutely beautiful!
I've used them in the past for several parties and special occasions and have been thrilled every time. They aren't cheap -- know that in advance. But, you'll have terrific bouquets of flowers that will last a long time.
Enjoy many hard to find flowers and know that they will take your arrangement very seriously. They know their craft and they know their flowers.
They are extremely busy, especially in wedding season, so expect a wait if you aren't there first thing.
