Great food, great ambiance, superb service... can you ask for anything more? I loved that they actually ask you how spicy you like your food. Perfect! Loved the tandori, the curry eggplant, and the sauces, specially the green-cilantro one. The mango beverage reminded me of my childhood, it?s something my Mother used to make for us, and I?m not Indian! Will recommend, actually, I just emailed one of my friends about it... definitely going there again.

what can i say???YUM! we love this place-such a GREAT addition to neighborhood.first we were fans of maharaja indian restaurant(but they don't seem to be so interested in creating a "sharing" dining experience).
but when himalaya is opened we were little far-we were quite intrigued(before we tried it) and blissfully we were happy after we tried it!
welcoming atmosphere, their pakoras and chicken 65 are outstanding perfectly fried,non-greasy and delicious flavour!
we have tried tandoori mixed grill, chicken tikka masala, dal tadka and some thing else which i can't remember.every thing has been decilious, hey i forgot to tell their "chicken tikka masala" is "exceptional".the owner is very interested in patron opinions and gauging the appropriate spice level- good luck-that has to be somewhat challenging!
the garlic naan is the best we've had.
check it out-prices also seem lower than other indian joints. enjoy!!!!!

My husband has been an Indian food fan for a while, but I wouldn't try it. I finally gave in and off we went to himalaya. I'm a convert now! We've been there several times since and have never been disappointed by the food or service. Both are excellent. Every meal starts off with a complimentary order of papadam ,tamarind and mint chutney. The platter of assorted vegetarian appetizers is delicious as are the many varieties of bread. Try the garlic nan, poori, and aloo paratha (flat bread stuffed with potatoes). The wonderful mulligatawny soup has a bit of a bite, even if you order it mild. Go with a group so you can sample several dishes including the butter chicken, shrimp tandoori masala, chicken tikka, tandoori mixed grill, and shrimp biryani.
