Christiana Mall is the anti-shopper's nightmare-- low prices, a confusing layout, and no sales tax. If you bring your shopaholic wife or girlfriend, you may never leave! There's an exit right off I-95 for this mall, and there's plenty of free parking. You'll find all the big anchor stores, including Macy's, Strawbridges, and JC Penney's. There's a sizable food court and a Ruby Tuesday's if you're in the mood for table service. Overall a good mall, but for all you men out there, don't say I didn't warn you!

My wife (then fiancee) lived at Christina Mill for two years and was really happy with her experience. From my own experience there, the apartments are spacious, and the leasing staff is extremely accommodating to those that abide by the rules and pay their rent on time. When my wife needed a two-week extension before moving out, they had no problem catering to her request. The two downsides to this complex are: 1. rent isn't cheap, and will most likely increase every year, and 2. parking can be an issue. Although a parking spot is guaranteed for every resident, we spent many evenings searching the complex for an available spot, only to find one halfway across the complex.

Colonial Gardens is chock full of students at the nearby University of Delaware, within walking distance of the complex. Rental for these apartments are reasonable, but I've heard many complaints about water damage, mold growth, and general maintenance issues. Although I know several graduate students who lived peacefully at Colonial Gardens for several years, their main rationale was its convenience to campus. Given the crowd and the college town, don't move in expecting a quiet neighborhood.
