Union Station Hotel used to be a train depot. They kept the same theme and turned it into a luxury hotel. It's gorgeous! The rooms are beautiful and have a vintage feel to them, but offer all the amenities you need. In the morning, breakfast is offered free in the restaraunt area and at night, you can enjoy fine dining. This place is pricey but worth it.

The Hampton Inn in Green Hills was a wonderful place. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The newspaper was delivered to my door every morning. The bathroom was luxurious with very nice quality towels. The bed was like falling into heaven, with lots of pillows (as a fan of having a lot of pillows, I'm always annoyed with only two at most hotels) and very nice bedding. The room was quiet and cleaned well every day. The free continental breakfast far surpassed the coffee and doughnuts at most continental breakfasts - with eggs, various coffees, teas, and juices, cereals, waffles, pastries, and more.

Savage House Inn is great! When you enter the front door, it's like you've stepped into a house from the turn of the century! From the long, winding staircase to the English clawfooted bathtub, you will love it! The rooms are decorated like the era and it's just a great experience.
Pros: Quiet, Historic, Good Parking
Cons: No Air Conditioning

We stayed at this hotel for almost a week while my husband was there on business . The rate was more than reasonable and the man who worked the front dest was incredibly helpful and kind. He helped me carry our bags to the room and he even opened up the kitchen so my son could have a bowl of cereal one evening. The building itself was a little old but they kept it clean and very prleasant. The room was more than adequate, the TV was a flat screen and the air conditioner had a remote control. The internet there was very fast so it was easy to get things done. The housekeepers were kind and discreet and we always came back to a super clean and pleasant smelling room. All in all, fantastic value, great service and plenty of comfort.
Pros: Super fast high speed internet, fantastic customer service, great price
Cons: Building was a little old, but they kept it nice and clean.

There is only one Grand Ole Opry and if you come to Nashville don't live without a visit to the Opry. It's funny because so think they aren't country music fans, then have the time of their lives at the Opry.
The Opry isn't about country music it's about entertainment. Every Friday and twice on Saturday this group of preformers with acts like Porter Wagoner to Vince Gill you never know who the Opry will bring out and it might not even be someone who's scheduled to be there.
The pay for performing is next to nothing and the people that are there are there to be part of something bigger than themselves. If you are in Nashville, and you have a free evening the Opry is an activity that is 100% pure Nashville and 100% pure entertainment - well worth the cost of admission.

This is my favorite place to stay in the Opryland area. I typically travel to Nashville on a regular basis. I prefer to stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and have microwaves and mini-refridgerators. The room rates are very reasonable. The location is perfect for shopping and all of the Country Music type-entertainment, plus the downtown area is not far. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Everything is made to be your home away from home.

We had a week long church convention in Nashville. Comfort Suites offered us a great rate on suites for 6 people per room - 2 double beds and a sofa bed in every room. The rooms were large and the refrigerator and microwave were helpful.
The employees were very kind and helpful.
They had a laundry room, computer room with fast internet and a very big pool we enjoyed at night.
We will stay there again.
Pros: Best breakfast for a hotel and very big rooms
