If you think New York-style pizza is the best kind, then Pizza Perfect is the best in Nashville. It's a thin, chewy, not too saucy, not too greasy pizza. Go there for the pizza, not the ambiance, because it's not a cozy place. It's busy and functional, with the kitchen exposed to the seating area and a guy calling out names as the orders are ready. (You order at the counter; there's no wait staff.) They sell slices, but I've found that whole pizzas are the best option (slices can sit around a little too long). Salads are basic but fresh; sodas are self-serve with free refills. There's a porch with an awning shading outdoor seating. Again, it's basic and functional, but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed.
