I have been to both the Green Hills and Cool Springs locations and loved my experience at both. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I will drive further to go to Maggie Moo's because their ice cream is the best around... even if another ice cream store is closer. I will go there so I can have my favorite which is the Better Batter (it tastes just like cake batter) and so my niece can get her favorite Cotton Candy... it tastes just like what it says it does, like all of their ice cream.
I have also used them for several birthday parties that I have thrown since their ice cream cakes are spectacular. I have bought ice cream cupcakes, cakes and ice cream sandwiches called "Maggie O's" (they are so cute, they look like big oreos) for my parties. I even talked my boss into using their catering for an upcoming office party. I am sure that will be a great day at the office!
Basically if you want to have the best ice cream around drive past the competition and go to Maggie Moo's!!!
Pros: The Best Ice Cream EVER!!!

Maggie Moo's is absolutely wonderful. I have been to the one in Green Hills and on West End, and I prefer the one on West End much more. Their employees are super friendly and their health rating is better. There are long lines at night, but this is to be expected from the store that sells the fourth most ice cream of any other individual ice cream store in the South! That should tell you just how great Maggie Moo's is!!!
Pros: Everything is so fresh and the service is good
Cons: sometimes they dont have my favorite flavor--fresh banana!

You have to go to Las Paletas. There's no way to convince someone that a popsicle can be anything special; you have to taste one of these to believe it. I had a caramel one the first time and was amazed; it was creamy and had a real depth of flavor. Since that first one, I've tried lots of others and never been disappointed. The flavors change daily, depending on what's fresh in the market. I've seen them offer cucumber-chili, tamarind, rice, chocolate banana, guava.
The location is hard to spot; there's no sign, which I suppose makes customers feel like they're in on a secret. With no sign and a $2 price tag, the owners must just do it for the love of the popsicle.

Great ice cream as is typical of the chain. Tiny shop though, with only a handful of chairs and a couple tables.. not quite adequate for seating of large groups, but great for a quick stop for ice cream. Parking garage across the street for easy parking, and SATCO right next door for a good meal before you grab dessert.

Fantastic smoothies. But really, that's all there is to say about Smoothie King. It just sells smoothies. It'd be a nice place to grab lunch, if they sold some sort of food. But as it is, I like to go in when I have a coupon ($5 smoothies can take their toll on a wallet) and get a giant, meal-replacing smoothie. Quick, clean, delicious, and helpful staff who are willing to help make suggestions.
