My wife and I tried to plan our wedding for months. Finally, one day, we said "Saturday, we get married!". It was, of course, Friday. We packed quickly, ran to a local chapel the next morning, and got married. When we returned to Nashville to find a hotel room for a short honeymoon, we realized that we had gotten married during Fanfare weekend (or whatever they call it now).
Not only did Loew's find a room for us, though, they found us a fabulous room. The bed was the best I've ever laid in, and you can order one from them, apparently- and the prices are relatively inexpensive. We'll be buying our next bed there. The rooms were marvelous. There was a private lounge where we were able to get free drinks and snacks regularly, served by one of the staff, with comfortable seating, all the local papers, national papers, magazines, etc. There were multiple places to eat right in the hotel, including some of the nicest restaurants in the city. There's even an art gallery. It was perfect. The only thing I missed was that I wished they had rooms available with a jetted or jacuzzi-style tub. Definitely worth the stay.

Went with a group of college girls and we all were very happy with our stay. The staff was very accomodating to our many needs. The beds were fabulous! I recommend getting one of the special suites that has a great corner view and lots of space. Valet parking was expensive but very nice. Location is in walking distance of neat downtown places.
Pros: beds, service, comfort
Cons: internet, valet expenses, no hot tub

The staff of Homewood Suites by Hilton on Elm Hill Pike are GREAT! We have visited numerous times to only be saddened we have to leave. The breakfast and dinner are great! The computer room, laundry room, work out room are all exceptionally well kept. All the luxuries you could want!

Union Station Hotel used to be a train depot. They kept the same theme and turned it into a luxury hotel. It's gorgeous! The rooms are beautiful and have a vintage feel to them, but offer all the amenities you need. In the morning, breakfast is offered free in the restaraunt area and at night, you can enjoy fine dining. This place is pricey but worth it.

The Hampton Inn in Green Hills was a wonderful place. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The newspaper was delivered to my door every morning. The bathroom was luxurious with very nice quality towels. The bed was like falling into heaven, with lots of pillows (as a fan of having a lot of pillows, I'm always annoyed with only two at most hotels) and very nice bedding. The room was quiet and cleaned well every day. The free continental breakfast far surpassed the coffee and doughnuts at most continental breakfasts - with eggs, various coffees, teas, and juices, cereals, waffles, pastries, and more.

We got a great deal through AARP on our room at the La Quinta. The room was very nice, the service was excellent, and the location was convenient for us, as we were visiting my father in the hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. It is also conveniently located next to the Cracker Barrel, which is a huge plus in my book! The only drawback was that the room, which was on the first floor, seemed quite noisy. We got lots of noise from trains, which I never considered as being a problem. Also, Sidco Drive gets a lot of heavy truck traffic.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! My room had no heat whatsoever. The walls were paper thin. I was unlucky enough to be in the hotel at the same time as what seemed like a tremendous number of people who did nothing but party all night. The vending machine stole my money. The desk clerk was completely rude, making fun of my last name and asking way more questions than he should have. Valet parking was the only option, and when I checked out, it took him 30 minutes to bring my car to me.
