The Bound'ry is good, but I didn't get a real feel for it til I got to go on my boss's ticket. He took me and a coworker and ordered one of everything on the tastings menu. (Tastings = appetizers/tapas, basically.) Getting to taste everything is definitely the best way to experience a restaurant.
My favorite item is the shrimp wrapped in phyllo dough and coated with crushed pistachios. Absolutely delicious and unlike anything I've eaten at any other Nashville restaurant. The bread basket presentation is great; they bring out a wide assortment (focaccia, breadsticks) in a copper cone that sits in a special stand; the bread is served with hummus drizzled with oil.
The decor is warm and colorful, and the place is usually busy. Service isn't terribly friendly; maybe they're trying to cultivate an urbanity by being snobbish.

When we are in Nashville, TN we love to visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It has several restaurants and we have tried most of them, but we always seem to find ourselves at Rachel's Buffet Restaurant.
Rachel's is a great spot to enjoy any meal of the day. It is just off the Magnolia Lobby and serves food buffet style. The restaurant is large and spacious, it was completely remodeled not too long ago. The food is great, with a lot of variety. Most of the hotel restaurants are pricey-but, worth it. Rachel's has the best value for the price and works really well if you are traveling with kids. Check it out when you are in Nashville. Make sure you allow time to explore the hotel. It is amazing!

I love Bound'ry. It's one of my "go to" places in Nashville. The bar upstairs is fantastic in good weather. It's also the only place that allows smoking inside (which may be a negative for some), but it's a "treehouse" atmosphere. Downstairs is great, too. It's non-smoking and also has open windows in good weather. The bar has an inset of ice to keep cocktails cool. They sell cigars also. The food is good and they have a late-night menu as well. It's a lovely spot to finish your evening or to start it. I'll be seeing you soon!
Pros: good drinks, great atmosphere
Cons: n/a

Bravo, Margot Cafe, & Chef Margot for an incredible night out on my birthday with three friends on a busy Saturday night. Truly a perfect evening & a perfect dinner in a spectacular dining atmosphere. The hostesses were friendly & seated us immediately even though we were a few minutes early. Our server, Patty, was helpful, professional, & had the right balance of getting us what we needed at the right time but not hovering over us. She was wonderful. We started with a cheese, bread, & fresh peaches appetizer that was a culinary delight & perfect on a hot summer night. We sampled Sangria made on the premises, Spanish wine, & specialty microbrew beer, & topped off the evening with the housemade limoncello. We were not disappointed, all excellent choices. We got steak with greens & beets, spinach linguini, chickpea lemon artichoke chicken, pesto pizza, & gazpacho soup, taking turns sampling from one another's plates. Every bite of every morsel was simply heavenly. I went to Zola's last year on my bday & it does not even compare with Margot. Note we were sat upstairs & even tho it was a hot night, it was cool & comfortable upstairs. And some have written the seating is too close, but that was not the case at all. We had plenty of room & privacy. Kudos, bravo, & we will be back!
Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Food, Dining Experience
Cons: None other than the need for reservations

If you think New York-style pizza is the best kind, then Pizza Perfect is the best in Nashville. It's a thin, chewy, not too saucy, not too greasy pizza. Go there for the pizza, not the ambiance, because it's not a cozy place. It's busy and functional, with the kitchen exposed to the seating area and a guy calling out names as the orders are ready. (You order at the counter; there's no wait staff.)
They sell slices, but I've found that whole pizzas are the best option (slices can sit around a little too long). Salads are basic but fresh; sodas are self-serve with free refills.
There's a porch with an awning shading outdoor seating. Again, it's basic and functional, but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed.

"A friend introduced me to San Diego style Fish Tacos almost 15 years ago now and I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with them. Since I'm from Ohio, finding the same taste as a San Diego FINS or WAHOO or any number of other places out there has been quite a difficult task. Anytime I visit a city I search online for any place in that city that might serve Fish Tacos and give them a try.
Well, I must say, the moment I tasted the Fish Tacos from BAJA BURRITO in Nashville, I knew I had found the exact taste I was looking for. They are as EXACT as anything in San Diego, and eating them was just amazing. It's like San Diego was literally transplanted into the heart of County Music... how wild is that.
Not only were the fish tacos just incredible, but the whole experience was an A+ all the way around. I loved the atmosphere. The chips were simply perfect. The guacamole was as good as I've ever had. My wife had a burrito and just loved it. And the staff were very very friendly and helpful. What a great, great experience all the way around.
Personally, I'll find a way to get to the Nashville Baja Burrito if I'm within an hour of Nashville... it was that great."
Pros: Best Fish Tacos in Midwest

My friend recommended the Acorn for our anniversary. We were seated on the patio which offers the great vibes of city, yet manages to balance an intimate dining experience. The service staff and manager were so friendly, it felt like we were welcomed into their own home. They made our night extra special.. and I haven't even got to the food yet. Each course was amazing. I loved the Halibut and my husband is still talking about the Lamb, something he would usually never order out, but glad he did. I can't stop talking about what a great night we had. All Around, from the ambiance, to people to the food, hands down the "Best Dinner Experience in Nashville"
Thank you Acorn!
Pros: Loved the Patio, Super Friendly People

I was introduced to Viragos by a very dear friend of mine and I have been a fan since my first visit 3 years ago! Everyone that I have taken with me loves it as well. I go for the atmosphere and of course the SUSHI! My favorite roll is the YUM YUM roll, but last Wednesday I discovered another one that is AWESOME! You must have the Rising Sun, I know it is $20 for 6 pieces but it was money well spent. The fact it doesnt have rice in it makes it very light but it is packed with flavorful fish. Looking forward to going this summer when the windows are open and the cool breeze of the night is blowing thru!
Pros: Fresh Sushi, Good Location, Variety on Menu
Cons: Can have long waits if no reservations
