If you want to buy a violin in nashville, this is definitely the place. the staff is very competent and they can advice you on the right instrument for you. As the name says they are specialized in violins. If you are seriously into violins that's the place for you. Two thumbs up.

The Great Escape is the best bet for finding whatever media you may need, at discounted prices for an overwhelming selection of used items. Priced a bit higher than the average used CD at times, but possibly worth it for the excellent selection. Vinyl, cassette, CD, DVD, comic books, posters, VHS, and more are all available.
Check out the Great Escape discount store too, open Fridays and Saturdays, only a block away from the main store. Talk about bargains!

Nashville should be proud of its performing arts center. I've seen Cabaret, Penn & Teller, ballet, and Wayne Newton there (poor Wayne, he's seen better days). All of the shows were presented beautifully. The facilities are not that striking, but they are well-maintained and there are always plenty of employees keeping everything running smoothly.
The 2005-6 season includes Hairspray, which blew me away on Broadway. I have full confidence that the TPAC production will be just as good.

Too play Ted Rhodes you'll probably want to schedule a tee-time because it's not quite as easy to walk on to as other Metro Nashville Public courses. The cost is roughly the same (around $10 for 9 holes, around $20 for 18).
This however differs from many MNP courses because it's pretty hard. There is some very nasty rough, a little water hear and there that must be avoided and some difficult holes that will give even the best golfers a challenge.
Overall the course is maintained very well for a public course and players of any level should find it enjoyable and fun, and for the cost you really can't be it.

More
It's tough for TPAC to not be good, they are really the only game in town that does what they do. Traveling shows of any merit that come to town all go through TPAC so if you enjoy any type of theater, chances are you'll find yourself at TPAC at some point.
If you can't get in the first 20-30 rows on the lower deck try to get the mezzanine level, because the seats in the rows pretty far back on the main level don't have the greatest view, but you still pay a lower level price.
Parking can also be a bear if you go to TPAC (unless you want to pay for Valet) so plan on getting there a few minutes early to find a spot and find your seat inside, and enjoy the show!

if there were six stars, I would give them all to Spun. This place is amazing and you really just have to check it out for yourself. The hours of operation are also conveniently scheduled to accomodate the ridiculous fluxuations of a college student's daily activities, staying open until midnight, and sometimes later if Tim doesn't have to babysit his niece in the morning. Speaking of Tim, he's a real character and everyone should add him on myspace. seriously, he's the best. He makes Spun what it is.
