Pancake Pantry is a part of Nashville culture. Not only do the locals and tourists both wait in long lines (rain, snow or shine) but so do the local celebrities. It's amazing food and usually really good service. Worth the time to eat and not that pricey, either!

I love Bound'ry. It's one of my "go to" places in Nashville. The bar upstairs is fantastic in good weather. It's also the only place that allows smoking inside (which may be a negative for some), but it's a "treehouse" atmosphere. Downstairs is great, too. It's non-smoking and also has open windows in good weather. The bar has an inset of ice to keep cocktails cool. They sell cigars also. The food is good and they have a late-night menu as well. It's a lovely spot to finish your evening or to start it. I'll be seeing you soon!

I was introduced to Viragos by a very dear friend of mine and I have been a fan since my first visit 3 years ago! Everyone that I have taken with me loves it as well. I go for the atmosphere and of course the SUSHI! My favorite roll is the YUM YUM roll, but last Wednesday I discovered another one that is AWESOME! You must have the Rising Sun, I know it is $20 for 6 pieces but it was money well spent. The fact it doesnt have rice in it makes it very light but it is packed with flavorful fish. Looking forward to going this summer when the windows are open and the cool breeze of the night is blowing thru!
Pros: Fresh Sushi, Good Location, Variety on Menu

I've lived in Nashville for 3 years and this is my favorite bar. Everyone is nice and service is great. Thursday nights are a blast. The atmosphere is inviting, the music selection is great, drinks are priced well, I could go on and on... some people just cannot be pleased and you would have to be one of those people to not have a great time at the Tin Roof.

Ken's, by far, is one of the best sushi places in Nashville ? and one of the cheapest. The philly roll is the best I've had anywhere ? the perfect potion of cream cheese and salmon. They also have red bean ice cream, which is dee-lish! The staff is always very nice and they recently went smoke-free.

I came across these reviews and was very surprised to see some of the negative comments. Obviously, not everyone is going to like the same type of places. I must say that I highly agree with one of the other reviews when they stated "not a dirty college bar". If you prefer your drinks to be served in tiny plastic cups, Layla's not for you. Layla has a great atmosphere and ambience, it's clean, full of beautiful people having a good time, and the fastest bartenders in town. (many of these also work at Virago, which is also an excellent place for night life, and food as well!) One bartender in particular is the absolute fastest in Nashville, hands down. Not only are they efficient, they make great drinks (you will be pleased with the portion, and never have to worry that you were screwed out of the appropriate amount of alcohol in your drink) And to those who feel like they were racially discriminated against...No one wants to feel that way, but I must say I'm a regular at Lalya and have been for a few yrs. It is ALWAYS very racially diverse inside...whites, blacks, asians...you name it. There are times when it gets really busy that they may become choosy about who and how many they let in when reaching max capacity. However, I don't see this as being negative at all, it's their job to regulate the number of clients inside. If someone's being disturbing, or acting out because of heavy intoxication, one should expect to be trown out or denied entrance.
Pros: Great atmosphere, awesome bartenders, diverse
Cons: New bartender (only female there) makes lousy drinks compared to all the others!

I went to Jack's my first time today. I'm so glad I went because it is literally the best bbq I have ever put in my mouth! I pulled up to the drive thru window and after the lady ran my card, it was declined. I had ordered the family pack so it wasn't cheap. The lady said not to worry and she took care of it. It was one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me and my family. This is such a wonderful place and the staff is amazing. I'm a customer for life and it's worth the drive!
