My husband initially bought my engagement ring at Barmakians and he raved about the service. They gave him lots of information and time and personal attention so that he was confident in the decision in the ring he picked out.
When you buy expensive jewelry you want to be sure that you didn't get taken but some "fast talking" sales person. The people at Barmakians are anything but that. They are smart and professional and realize that they are helping people make (in some case) a pinnacle decision in the next step in their life.
My husband was so happy with them, we ended up getting our bands their and recommended our best friends to get their engagement and wedding bands their as well.

I like going here for breakfast. I love the pancakes. All the topping choices are really good. A nice friendly atmosphere for breakfast. The servers were right on top of things.

This store is a true treasure downtown. Still shop at the big stores, but make it a point to check this little one out if you are looking for a baby gift. It's great to support local merchants, and this store is just packed with fun and unique items for babies and kids. They have a huge selection of clothing, and some interesting toys and other items (we've noticed some adorable kids room rugs, and some cute towels in the summertime.) Prices are appropriate for a high-end baby shop, and the service is excellent!
