I no longer use other travel agents after having used My Travel Agent the last dozen or so times. I am continually impressed by this company and their knowledgeable, professional staff. We have used them for a Scotland vacation, at least 5 trips to Las Vegas, a week long trip to Italy, and are currently booking a very involved trip to Greece. They take care of all the details, know everything about the areas I'm interested in, recommend everything from hotels to small family restaurants, and most importantly, ensure that I have a great time. On our vacation in Italy, they had a flower bouquet and a bottle of champagne delivered to our room,waiting for us when we arrived. Can't say enough about them.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay (and want to avoid hotels) Harrison's is a nice alternative. It is a cute little B&B close to everything in Naperville. Rooms are nice and they give you a wonderful breakfast brought to your room in the morning. Nothing like eating breakfast in bed! Innkeepers are very nice. Highly reccomended.

My husband and I used Advance Cruise when booking our Alaskan cruise. With so many choices available, we didn't feel comfortable booking ourselves and looked to the experts to ensure we had a fabulous vacation. The staff at Advance knew all the ships, including the smaller boats which take you further inland than the big party ships, and also gave us advice on all the land excursions we decided to take. All in all, we had a fantastic 14 day cruise throughout all of Alaska. Our ship was wonderful, as was the service we got from Advance.

If you are looking for a place where you can examine every imagineable lighting piece in one location, then you want to check out Riverwalk lighting. They have everything from chandeliers to table lamps all in one area. It is a much wider selection than you would ever see in a department store. Their prices do seem to be higher however.

I stayed at this Days Inn for one night recently. I searched all the websites I could find that offer hotel deals and this was the least expensive I could find. The prices varied at different sites. I can't remember the name of the site now, but the cheapest offered a room at $50.60 with tax. Then I discovered that I didn't need to necessarily go through the site to make a reservation. It sends you directly to Days Inn's website who offers you the cheapest price on line for their hotels.
The price for my room, at what I have written above, was at least ten dollars cheaper than what other sites offered for the same one. It was a smoking room with two double beds on the second floor. Non-smoking rooms and rooms on the first floor cost about ten dollars more. So if you aren't able to climb stairs, get one on the first level. I also suggest that even if you are a non-smoker to get a smoking room since they are cheaper. Most places I know of run out of smoking rooms first though. Rooms with one king-sized bed also cost more. All the rooms have private entrances outside. Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is 11 am. I did not bring mine, but they do accept pets for a small deposit. I believe it was $15, if my memory serves me.
Of course it would be nice to stay at a more elegant place, but I was mostly visiting with family and only needed the room to sleep and shower. It was a decent room. I've stayed in some pretty nasty places before for a LOT more money than this hotel, especially in the Chicago area.
The man at the front desk was friendly and gave prompt service. The room was clean and pretty comfortable, though the bed was not as soft as the one I have at home. It is an older building that could use cosmetic remodeling, but it works. There were some minor negatives I could deal with. The bathroom fan was not working and the iron was missing from the wall-mounted stand, but they did provide a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and ice bucket with cups. The walls are a bit thin so I could hear other people walking and coughing outside and in their rooms. There was also a man, who I assume had been drinking, who kept banging on the door to a room down from me and was going in and out for a good hour. However, I could not hear these things while my tv was on. It's no where near the Ritz, but I think that I would stay here again if I didn't have money to spend on nicer lodging.

Holiday Inn Select in Naperville, Il has a great location close to the interstate. It offers good conference facilities and clean and modern rooms. The rooms are comfortable, quite spacious and well furnished. They even offer a real desk to work on if need be, complete with convenient electrical outlets to plug in your laptop and other "joys of modern life". The hotel offers complimentary Internet in the rooms. If you'd like a room with wireless Internet, you need to tell them, since only some of the rooms have the wireless. The biggest fault could find with the rooms is the absence of an in-room safe.
The food was decent, if a bit bland; but then it is hard to please somebody living in New Orleans.
The staff was decent, but they did not try particularly hard. There is definitely room for improvement.
