We brought in a salvaged mid 1800's "built in" cabinet to them as it was ripped out a old home just before it was demolished, it was very rough.They (Tom Wehrli and his crew) did an incredbile job of making this piece into a wonderful, free standing and functional piece. Everybody that sees it is impressed. Tom took the time to expain the process, choose trim, stain colors.... everything. They are true craftsmen, I cannot say enough about how pleased we are with the completed piece. Not sure how they are on pricing, we just felt so comfortable working with them and the price didn't seem like a lot for what they were doing. We'll be back.

Perched in the heart of downtown Naperville on the corner of Chicago Ave, and Washington, just footsteps from the river, this store is a comfortable place to go and browse, grab a quick snack, or (gasp) buy books, magazines, or music. Whenever I am in Naperville I always stop by; and its the favorite of my two daughters. The atmosphere is congenial, the clerks are always friendly, and the store sits across the street from one of my favorite restaurant, The Mongolian Barbeque.
<p>
Parking is not an issue; the bookstore shares the block with free public parking garage with ample handicapped parking stalls.
PROS: Centrally located in downtown Naperville...

This is the most amazing place I've ever been to for scrapbooking, and other crafts like that. They're selection is HUGE, and really affordable. The large workroom in the back is always open, unless they're doing classes, which are usually AWESOME, but kind of expensive. I recommend Archiver's to anyone who mentions scrapbooking.

Isabel Bloom is a small sculpture gallery in downtown Naperville. They offer beautiful cast sculptures in all sizes. Most of the figures are of nature or holiday related. Her children sculptures are darling and I think are much more personal than a Precious Moments. They are in dusty colors like rose, grey, and teal and fit in any decor, inside or out. Many of the earlier pieces have become collectors items.

At T J Maxx you can all the best brands for cheap! If you are a bargain hunter and looking for designer labels, this is the store is the place to go. I found this store to be well-organized, and very well-stocked. Check out their seasonal clearances and advertised specials. A note of warning though-- this a store where it's better to browse than to go in looking for something specific. You never know what you might find!

Coach House is a really cute store-- lots of fun for your little ones to go to. It has all kinds of stuffed bears. Boyd Bears, Ty, and the really cute Muffy Vanderbeer. They also have a wide selection of clothing for the bears. The bears can get pricey but it's probably no more than if you were doing a build a bear and getting clothes.

Peterson's is a small shop in Naperville, off of rt 59 and 87th street. It is a family owned business with one other location in Downtown Naperville. B/c this is a family owned business, the staff knows their frequent customer's names. They have excellent wine and also beer and spirits. If you want a great experience, whether it is just to buy wine or to go to a wine tasting, I definitely recommend checking out Peterson's.
