You won’t be disappointed by Meson Sabika (formerly known as Emilio’s Tapas Restaurant). The location lovely: a restored mansion from 1847 on a wooded estate. Inside the restaurant the decor is reminiscent of a European villa with intimate dining rooms, lace curtains, hand painted murals, vases, and ceramics. On nicer nights, you can eat outside on the brick terrace, whilst overlooking the gazebo, landscaped grounds and oak trees. But the food will be your delight. Though there’s usually a wait, order something from the full-bar and walk around the grounds until your table is ready. Spanish/Mediterranean fare is served Tapas – i.e. appetizer-size portions to share from 2-3 people at a table. Choose from cold tapas (such as salmon on toast points), soups and salads (black bean soup with chorizo), hot tapas (bacon wrapped dates in red pepper sauce), and more! So unique and the food is prepared to please!

The good food and ambiance will keep you coming back. Located in an old mansion, this is a great restaurant for any date or celebration. The tapas is wonderful. You have to try the garlic potatoes. Just make sure everyone in the party eats them. Try the Sunday brunch to sample all the favorites. The also have a nice patio dining on good weather days.

I went there for a date. we tried just about every major food there. the prices were reasonably, the wait a bit long, but we were entertained at the bar with a nice selection of wines to choose from. I'm not a fan of seafood...and they didn't have anything that changed my mind. "NINE" in chicago is the best seafood I've had. it came to about $125 with drinks...not bad for 2 people
