The Naperville Public Library is fantastic. I grew up in Naperville and can vouch for its children's, YA, and adult sections. Great selection, great programs. I remember listening to one of our 5th grade teachers tell scary stories during the storytelling sessions as a kid, as well as the summer reading program. It has only gotten better through the years. Having lived in a bunch of places since, including Palo Alto and NYC, I can say that NPL is one of the best that I've seen.

Naperville is known for having one of the best public library systems in the country, and it shows. Compared to even the Harold Washington Library in Chicago, there are TONS of resources. When looking for some children's books I needed, the online search in Naperville almost always showed at least one branch owned the books, whereas many weren't in Chicago at all. The online search system is fabulous and you can hold and renew books online. Also, the new branch (95th Street) is beautiful. As an added bonus, they have many new releases in movies and music, and all non-children's movies can be rented for one dollar!

They have internet service to get in easilly..Kids can enjoy there with toys and learningbooks .They put time to time project work for kids. They might go to a fingerprint system for the Internet section, but I wouldn't mind that too much.Big parking space in busy downtown area.

Like, when I was in college, I couldn't get a library card because I wasn't a city resident. But this is where I met my husband, so that makes up for it :) Overall, I love the programs they offer, especially for children. The downtown library has a great children's section, nice collection of dvds, cds, magazines, etc. Check it out!

My family loves the Naperville Public Library. They have an incredible selection of materials to check out and a very easy to use online card catalog. I use the web site to find what I want, put it on hold, and it is waiting for me when I go to pick it up. My daughter loves the children's area, where they have puzzles, crafts and SO many books! It's a wonderful place to take the family and spent an hour or so.

The Naperville Public Library is the best library in the western suburbs. They have a huge collection, an excellent reference section, a sizeable computer bank with Internet access, and helpful librarians. They have a wide selection of magazines to choose from, as well. On top of all this, the facilities are newer and beautiful. It's the only library I ever go to anymore.
