We were visiting Napa for Thanksgiving and one of my son's lower bands snapped, he was very uncomfortable. There would be no eating this Thanksgiving, plus making all of us miserable.
I called Dr Cooke's office. She called back very quickly and took time from her family to help my son.
I wish we lived in Napa so he could by my son's orthodontist. She obviously goes above and beyond and cares for her patients deeply!

Massage treatments are fraught with eager trepidation. You look forward to them because your body/mind is screaming for relaxation and calm, simple requests. Yet you often walk away wishing for a little bit more. Happily, I was very pleased with my massage at Amanda's. It's located on the 2nd floor of a super-cute craftman house (first floor is a yoga studio). Pamela was my massage therapist. Experience oozes from her fingertips! She knows what she's doing. Her manner was calming; she doesn't ruin the experience by talking ad nauseum. She worked on all my trouble spots (she'll ask you) and then some. I will absolutely re-book with Pamela. For all you prego ladies, she is also experienced with prenatal/postnatal massage.
When I got a manicure there, Whitney did the honors. The mani might seem pricey but it's worth it. The polish lasts for well over a week which has everything to do with the application technique. The space doesn't reek of chemicals because of the brand of polish used and they don't do fake nails. Plus, the ambience is so relaxing- it really feels like a treatment.
I'm booking a facial next..after my massage.

When our daughter was born last year, we found just how hard it can be to find a great pediatrician. We wanted one who understood kids, but could relate to our concerns as well. Dr. Wommack has been seeing kids in Napa for several years, and is a parent herself. She brings that to her practice. She is up on the latest trends, but follows good old common sense. She wants us to be informed and involved in every decision, whether is was time to switch to formula, or what to consider about immunizations. Several friends had recommended her, and we have not been disappointed. She is easy to get an appointment with, and no question is ever too small.

The Emerald Day Spa is a nice little spa in downtown napa. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful in making facial choices. I made an appointment for the "Anti-Acne Facial (my skin is congested with lots of blackheads). Sheree (sp?) was my esthetician. I liked her manner- no extra chatter, very relaxed. The one major downer for me is she used the extractor tool. Is this a napa thing? It totally hurts but i understand you have to apply pressure to get the gunk out (altho fingers never make me wince in pain). She did use her fingers tho and was pretty thorough about extracting. Anyway, she recommended products after i asked her; there was no hard sales push. It's not the most relaxing place in that hall noise permeates the walls very easily. The products carried are Gly-Med and their private line. It's a complete bummer they didn't have a website too-had to walk in to get a menu of services (guess i'm addicted to the convenience of the web).
