This place was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. My wife and I had the duck with mushroom risotto which was the best dish we had while we were in napa. Service was excellent. We sat on the outside patio which was nice and cozy with a fireplace. Had the brownie with caramal gelato which was sooooo good also. Highly recommend this place in downtown, best restaurant in Napa!

"What a find! When my wife and I moved our family from Pacific Palisades, LA to Bainbridge Island, WA we considered the quaility of the schools first and the access to great sushi second! I envy anyone living within driving distance of Napa Valley's Sushi Mambo.
Seattle Sushi joints are known for their fresh fish and our Faves in LA, like Hide and Hamasaku always accessed the best available, so I asked Jose, the Mexican-American Owner how he managed to get hold of the freshest Hamachi my wife and I have ever tasted. Great story: This guy, is not typecast as the perfect sushi restaurant owner, no less sushi chef but 30 years in the biz, apprenticed in SF's Japantown and handling all fish acquisitions, he established the key wharf connections that serve his now 12 year-old biz in Napa. He's like the Mob Boss of the Fish World.
We didn't make reservations and the counter was full so we had to wait a bit. I prefer the counter but a table opened up first and I guess the Mayor of Napa is the hostess because she knows everyone and everything in and about Napa and it looks like she's in charge of the joint too, But she got us seated, introduced us to a young, rather overwhelmed waitress and we placed our order of Hamachi, Ahi and a Dynamite appetizer. Fantastic across the board, The Hamachi was smooth, well proportioned and with just the right amount of wasabi. The Ahi, my fave, looked so perfect in its red that I had to manage my expectations that it would be as good as my Hide Sushi's masterpiece. My wife tasted it first and just nodded. I dove in and that was it; when Hamachi and Ahi come together in perfect union, you know that the owner's got a connection to the fishing fleet! Someone's gotta write a book about this guy, prepping incredible sushi and entertaining the counter with his masterwork.
Okay, onto Rolls and forgive me my memory but I think it is the Diablo Roll which is absolutely unique to anything I've seen out there which is such a relief. I'm bloody tired of the same old roll. The Diablo was a combo of Salmon, Hamachi and Ahi and they broiled it over a spicy tuna roll, topped with Tobiko, which I asked for because I crave the crunchy.
They have this "Mambo" sauce which has chili in it! Chili! They have sauces with cilantro! They make their own Mayonaisse! Even Hide doesn't do that!
So we learned to make a reservation for dinner and we still had to wait but not long. That was a little irritating and the same hostess remembered us and sat us at a table that didn't have enough light but fine with me. I wanted the counter but it was full again.
We started with a chicken yakatori appetizer and nicely salted edamame plus steamed muscles with a spicy soy sauce. Gotta admit, we had the Hamachi, Ahi and the Diablo Roll again and then we felt a bit guilty about hanging out at our table while people were waiting so we got going.
My favorite Sushi Restaurant ever, doesn't exist anymore because a NYC joint stole the owner/chef, from us here on Bainbridge Island. My wife and I are sushi snobs. We like good sized portions. We like excellent quality. We like clean restaurants. Mambo Sushi takes great care in these areas. The ambience is pretty good but in truth I could care less.
I am not only giving 5 stars for the above but also for creativity. The combination of flavors even in something as simple as the Dynamite is just super.
I wish we had a Mambo Sushi joint here on Bainbridge Island. You know its good sushi when you crave and I mean CRAVE having it again and again.!
My recommendation: Make a reservation well in advance. We visited at a supposedly dead time tourist wise, and it was still packed so I guess the locals are wise to what they've go. Also, make friends with the Mayor-Hostess."
Pros: Creative, Fresh and Addictive
Cons: Tough to Get a Table; Impossible to get the Counter

This is a local favorite and for good reason. Of the 10's of times I've been I've always had a great meal. I love sitting out on the patio both in the summer and winter - in the fall/winter try to get a seat close to the fireplace. A bonus is that they have a full bar. In my opinion a couple of the must-try items are the Frutti di Mare (calamari, shrimp beans & fennel - nobody does it better) & the salmon. I'm getting really hungry....
Pros: Food, outdoor seating
Cons: Can get noisy

Make sure you make reservations at Mustard's as it is a popular spot for Napa Valley dining (visitors and locals alike). My perfect meal here includes the onion rings with tomato-apple ketchup (they are thin sliced), the crabcake and the "Famous Mongolian Pork Chop with housemade mustard sauce". I am not sure if the Mongolians make their pork chop this way, but it is fantastic and the mustard sauce is delectable.
The menu has cute writing, such as the Truckstop that always has meat, rarely vegetables and the dessert "Sometimes Crisp, Cobbler or Deep Dish Pie, always a la mode". The food is great, the service is attentive and the bill won't completely blast your wallet. This is Cindy Pawlcyn's first restaurant and one of her best.

I celebrated my birthday at Coles last night, as I did in 2006. Being a registered dietitian, and having > 25 years experience in the foodservice industry, I can be pretty picky when it comes to my dining experience. Everything was sublime from the arugala and roasted corn salad, to the grass fed 21 day aged ribeye (cooked perfectly as ordered), to the sauteed spinach, and the pinot noir. The service was fantastic. There is a beautiful outdoor patio, a nice bar, and it is located on Main Street in downtown Napa, so you can walk if you are staying in the downtown area.
Pros: All
Cons: None

This restaurant is on the main highway about 10 miles north of Napa. It is always busy, so reservations are recommended. They have a wide variety of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. Their selection of seafood entrees is excellent.

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for lunch, no reservation. We were promptly seated outside overlooking vineyards and mountains and a beautiful garden that it appeared was used to make many of their dishes fresher than fresh! The appetizer we chose was a goat cheese and olive tapenade dish served with small toasted bread... SO good! My boyfriend had a lamb sandwich and I had a chicken dish that were both to die for. The server was attentive, but not overly so, and added to our pleasant experience. We shared a sorbet dessert with fresh berries, again, amazing. Brix is a must-go-to when in Napa Valley. Next time, we're going to have some wine!
Pros: Food, Service, Views
Cons: None!

I am a Napa resident who has been getting monthy massages by the same girl for years. Last week she told me the two words every loyal massage client dreads...I'm moving! So I decided to try St. Pierre Center for Massage. My experience there was fantastic. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and later by my massage therapist (I did not have the same experience as the reviewer below). The center was relaxing and inviting and as my therapist started my deep tissue massage the tension I had been carrying melted away. After she had finished my massage I got dressed and came out of the room, my therapist was waiting for me outside the door with a hot cup of tea and invited me to relax in the quiet room for as long as I liked. It was the best massage that I have ever had and I will be back!
Pros: relaxing music, the beds were so soft and they were heated!
Cons: none!
