I absolutly love Marti & Liz and was thrilled when I began working in a town with one nearby. I have shopped on my lunch break for years and can be counted on for at least one purchase a month. Well, this ends TODAY.(12.3.08) I have always found the staff courteous although not over friendly, however when I went there this morning to return a pair of shoes that I had planned on giving to my mother for Christmas (I found out over Thanksgiving that she already had the color) the associate was less than professional. I am aware of their 'store credit/exchange only' policy so I had chosen another pair to exchange. After waiting at the counter for a couple of minutes without so much as a hello from the associate standing directly behind the counter going about her business I was finally waited on and told that I could not return the pair of shoes because they had been worn. I told the story of the gift for my mother, mentioned that the shoes had not even been out of the bag in the weeks that I had owned them, and that they were not even my size to wear anywhere. She then told me that 'they' sand the bottoms of the shoes before sending them to the stores and that this pair had been worn. Now, I cannot tell you how many shoes I have purchased from Marti & Liz that have no more been sanded than I anything, but this pair of shoes actually were relatively smooth on the bottom and CLEARLY CLEAN. This very rude associate basically called me a liar and told me that she could not help me. I have been in a managment position in a global retail chain in the past and I am hear to tell you that unless those shoes were OBVIOUSLY worn (and let me say again that they were not) there should be no questioning of the customer, especially their character whatsoever. I am highly disappointed and more than displeased at today's events. Marti & Liz's may not have lost a customer, but the Marti & Liz in Lebanon, TN did.

Marti & Liz in the boro is the best store ever. Yes, it may be in a little crappy location, and they only play church music in there, and nothing's in order so you have to be in there for hours, but every time I go, I find a pair of shoes that I "can't live without"! You know, the perfect shoe..sitting on the shelf, surrounded by hideous shoes (that sadly will be someone else's "perfect shoe"), and the price is always great. I don't think I've ever spent over $24.99 for brand name designer shoes. And the best part is, no one ever can find that same pair again, so you always have the coolest shoes that no one else has. Be prepared to spend alot of time in there, which isn't annoying because the staff never ever bothers you. Pros: designer shoes, great prices, the staff leaves you alone Cons: look for minor flaws in the shoes before you make the purchase because you can't return them

This is my first message.. but I felt compelled to share my knowledge. I have always loved Marti & Liz shoes. I agree with another post I came accross about the Cool Springs staff being very rude. I would NOT RECCOMEND going to that location anymore. I was a loyal customer for 2 to 3 years before realizing I dont like how the staff treats people. Last week I purchased a really cute pair of Coach ballet flats, LOVE THEM... got home to wear them.. and they are TOTALLY TWO DIFFRENT SIZES! The Marti & Liz return policy clearly states that there are only store credits/ No returns. Well, I think this should of been acception to the rule, because how am I supposed to wear them if they fall off my right foot when I walk? I wanted a full refund because I didnt happen to see anything I wanted that day. They refused the refund and basically called me a liar. I was furious and will NEVER go back to the Cool Springs location. Before, I had bought so many shoes from there... Im sure I paid their electric bill... now- Im just gonna leave them in the dark. Pros: Good Prices Cons: Service, Return Policy

There is a peace in that place. Everybody have days that they may feel the load is heavy not often do you see that in the staff there. Try them you will GO BACK. The price is right the shoes G_R_E_A_T if you don't tell that you didn't pay the top dollar noone will never know what a place. Pros: they have my vote

I have shopped at the Marti and Liz store in Murfreesboro for years (when they were still located on the city square). The ladies who work there were always pleasant and nice. I was excited after moving to Williamson County that they opened a store in this area. I have found the sales staff at the Cool Springs location rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend the Cool Springs location.

I gave this store three stars because although the shoes are fabulous with great prices, the staff can be strange and unhelpful. Also, they have a country Christian radio station playing very LOUD in the store and I find it hard to have a pleasurable shopping experience while having to listen to something I find so offensive since I'm neither a Christian nor a country music fan! Personally I feel that any retail outlet that shares it's religious or political views with the public is sure to offend someone. Isn't that kind of taboo? Also, one evening my daughter and I were there and 20 minutes before closing the employees started turning all the lights off. When I said to my daughter that we should go they responded that we were welcome to keep shopping, but we didn't feel too welcome. I'll try the Cold Springs store instead! Pros: nice shoes Cons: Bad shopping atmosphere

It is a smaller store, but they have better shoes. It is located on West Main Street in Lebanon. Pros: Cheap Cons: No retuns, only exchange

Oh well I said I have consignment sale in which twice ayear,and said I guessI could try to sell them then. I started to browse when some woman came up and said I wasn't allowed to buy anymore shoes because they were not for resale? I was never intending on resaling any of the shoes, Thats when she came up to me with the manager on the phone . I listened to that person, paid for my items and left. Weeks later I went to buy sping shoes for myself and here she yells "WE SAID YOU CAN"T BUY ANY SHOES FROM HERE!!! THATS JUST CRAZY!!! then I left for good. DO NOT BUY ANYthing FROM THEM YOUre ASKING FOR NOTHING BUT TROUBLE ....DKROSS
