These folks have, in a small area, quite a good selection of plants, ornamentals, fruit trees, etc. They also have bulk supplies of bark, topsoil, and other landscaping supplies. The service is friendly and the prices are good.The only drawback is that it can be hard to get out of the parking lot if the traffic is heavy.

The Riverside Health Club has plenty of the latest exercise machines, a studio for group classes, a women's gym, a pool for deep and shallow water aerobics, a 25 yard lap pool with 3 lanes, a hot tub, sauna, steam room and climbing wall. They offer group classes in floor and step aerobics, spinning, yoga, pilates, water aerobics, "masters" swimming, and more. They also have a staff of trainers for individual work with members. Rates are about $50/month, but it's a bargain, as long as you can get yourself in there regularly.

If you're passing through Mount Vernon on your way to the San Juans (or to take in the Tulip Festival), Mexico Cafe is a perfect lunch or dinner stop.
The Skagit Valley is home to thousands of Mexican-American families who play a big role in the local agricultural scene. One fringe benefit of this group's local influence is the presence of several high-quality Mexican food stores and restaurants, and Mexico Cafe is among the oldest and most popular of these.
There's nothing fancy about the late '70's decor - complete with hand-painted murals of Aztec pyramids on the walls - and the food is just what you'd expect: tacos, enchiladas, burritos and 'especiales de la casa' like Chile Colorado and Chile Verde. But everything is prepared fresh on premises, made with high-quality ingredients and served with a smile (by a staffer wearing a Mariners jersey if there's a game on that day). The restaurant is often packed - expecially on Friday and Saturday nights when it seems like every extended family in town stops in - so leave a litle extra time if you're trying to make a boat in Anacortes. But if you love Tex-Mex and want to feel like a local, Mexico Cafe is the place to be.

Customer Service !!! HA HA HA!!! If i would have treated a customer the way i was served, I WOULD HAVE gotten FIRED!. (There were 2 witnesses with me that can confirm this complaint, should you need there testimony.) The 3 of us arrived at this store at 10:50 PM on Sat. evening. The Lobby was locked, so i went to the Drive up window and knocked. The young man that open the window was extremely Rude and obnoxious. He spoke to me as if was homeless person begging for food, before i ever said anything. He conversation was uncalled for and very inappropriate. After he was done barking at me, i told him my car was broke down and i would go to speaker and place my order. I stood at the order board for 25 min. before a car came and went around me. Another 10 min went by before a voice came across the speaker with the same Rude tone. He said i cannot serve you unless you are in a car. I informed him there was no reason to speak me that way, i just wanted to purchase some food. With the same rude tone i was told i will get my manager! I then stood there for 10 more min before the Assistant managers voice came across the speaker even RUDER than the young from before. I proceed to tell her i a firm voice what ever happen to costumer service??? The costumer is always right!!! That's what i was taught when i worked there. I then told her that i thought the attitudes and rudeness were uncalled for. Now she yelled over the speaker we will not serve you unless you are in a car. I told her that i had looked all around the Building and found no Posting that said i would be refused service if i was not in a car. With a very snotty reply i was told It's a Drive Threw and we will not help you until you get your car and Drive threw. So i told her then that i was going home and filing a complaint. I went to see Dr. Rowland because she specializes in a procedure that ultimately would sterilize me, however, would treat a long term battle of so far untreatable severe hemorrhaging. I was basically told that I would need to have children before she would do the procedure because she was uncomfortable with the thought of me not having kids. She gave me a lame medical excuse as to why, but it was mostly her. she then performed several costly and painful tests (that were'nt covered by insurance) then gave me conflicting results with no answers. bottom line she is more concerned with her own morality and "standards" than she is with the physical and mental health of her own patients. I would never let her touch me again. thanks for nothing.

I ordered a recliner and was quoted one price and picked the fabric. Not only was the fabric wrong, but the wrong chair was delivered. I was not home at the time of delivery,and the chair was accepted by a caregiver. When I went back to the store with photos of the chair, the agreed to take it back and re-order the correct chair with the correct fabric. At that time the owner realized I have been overcharged as well, and told me I could take my refund or apply to something else. I was told my check would be mailed to me. After 6 months and many phone calls (Next time I will send emails and letters so I have a paper trail) the owner now tells me there is no refund on special orders. I reminded him this was not a special order, but a mistake made by an inexperienced salesperson. The owner (Don) then became abusive shouting at me over the phone telling me if I wanted my money to hire a lawyer! He owes me a little less than $300.00. It would cost much more than that to hire a lawyer, a fact that he stated he is well aware of.
