Umi Teriyaki is right near my friend's house, and I always stop by when I visit him. My favorites are the orange chicken and the general tsao's chicken. I like the serving size for the price, and the service is always good.

My daughter had her 7th bday party there, attended summer camp twice and visited with school field trips and camp fire on more than one occasion. I liked these facilities for both people and horses much better than Horse Country Farm in Granite Falls and the few other camps in the area. I've been on some trail rides with friends myself, also. It's well run and worth a trip with your kids.

I have found this particular store to have the fast and friendly service that they actually advertise. They do great work and have never tried to sell me more than I actually needed. Their tire prices are great and their brake/alignment department is of the highest quality. If you have to wait on a busy day their in-store seating area is very comfortable too.

If your planning a trip through the Skagit Valley, stop off at the Snow Goose Produce stand. During the summer months they have your typical fruits and vegetables but they also serve up some of the best and biggest ice cream cones around. They have a variety of flavors and they put the delicious ice cream into a freshly made waffle cone. You have to take some back roads to get there but the trip is worth it.

This mortgage house is just what you'd want in a small town. They have brokers who actually care about making money for their clients! Located in downtown Mount Vernon, the building itself is darn right plain and simple, but to me, I felt good knowing that my money was not going towards fancy offices and amenities that are unnecessary to making money for me!
Scott Elliott is THE guy to ask for. He is a good listener and anything BUT a "salesman." He is always helpful with my account and willing to answer my questions.
Parking is slim, so find a spot across the street by the grocery store. I have never had trouble there.

I searched for months for the perfect invitations for my wedding. I then stumbled across MacKenzie Press, a local business that does letterpress invites. I emailed the owner, Julie MacKenzie and got a response almost immediately. I told her what I was looking for and set up an appointment to meet with her (though she was willing to work via email or phone if I preferred). When I met her she had created several samples personalized for me. Together we took what I liked about her samples and created the perfect invite. I appreciated that she took the time to work with me (almost two hours on a Saturday afternoon) so that I could be sure it was exactly what I wanted. Her prices are very reasonable for the final product. Her work is truly beautiful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a truly unique and personal invitation.

We have hired Crystal View Cleaning a few times to clean our windows. We get a lot of seaspray on our windows, and CVC does great job at getting them sparkling clean. And they stay clean longer than if I did the job myself. They really live up to their name. I think CVC takes the extra step in cleaning windows. It's not just about the glass. They are very considerate about cleaning entire window, and letting us know if any of our windows need repair. Micah from CVC is very prompt, courteous, and conscientious when he enters our home. If he moves anything to get to a window, he makes sure to put it back right where it was. You wouldn't even know he was there if it weren't for the spotless windows! I highly recommend Crystal View Cleaning.
