My job took me up to Mount Vernon and I needed to find a place to work out. I've worked out in the Seattle area for along time and I did not want to go to a place that has salesman breathing all over me to buy things. When I went into Urban Fitness I was greeted by the owner Sham. She gave me a tour and explained to me that she was in the business to change peoples lifestyles and she only does this because she cares for the health of everyone............of course, being from a bigger city gym I just took it for what it was worth and watched. I did join and I saw person after person achieving goals and changing. From weight loss to muscle gain, Sham and her staff are really making an impact on people and that is what I like to see. It's rare that you find a gym that does. I love the free weight room, it's the best. The equipment is always clean and there is always a smile at the door...............and no pushy sales guys. LOVE IT! Pros: Trainers and Free Weights

The people are nice enough, but it's just a generic health facility. No pool, limited classes. I'm sure it fits the needs of some individuals, but I'm looking for more in a gym.

Always clean and neat. The staff is friendly adn always willing to help out. The group classes they have are fun. The only draw back is that the daycare has very limited hours.
