Darrenkamp's is a medium size grocery store that will try to please you as best they can. It's very clean and the people are very friendly. They have everything big chain grocery stores have plus they recently added a pharmacy and a little café. It's very close to home which is a nice bonus and the prices are competitive with other stores.

This store is great for all your homemade candy making needs. The store carries bulk candy wafers at a great price as well as a wide variety of candy molds. The bulk section includes bulk packaging of such baking essentials as flour, sugar, brown sugar etc. Because this is not a chain grocery store and also because the items are packaged in bulk, the prices are great. Would highly recommend visiting this store if you are a serious baker.

Hennigans offers both inside and deck dining (spring and summer seasons). The prices are reasonable and you get a ton of food. The jumbo wings are killer and the blue cheese dressing that comes with them is addicting (craved it when I was pregnant with my son). The waitresses are always very personable and for the most part there is never a very long wait to be seated.

The Catacombs at Bubes Brewery is the best restaurant in Lancaster County. It is in the basement, "the catacombs" of the old brewery in Mt. Joy. Although the menu items are a little bit pricey I belive that it is well worth it. It is a wonderful atmosphere for any special occaision. My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary there and when we mentioned our special day to them they gave us free dessert. They also have a full bar with lots of mixed specialty drinks. As an appetizer they offer pretzel sticks with a cream cheese dip that is really good. The first order is on the house but you can purchase more if you'd like. You will get a complimentary tour of the brewery before your meal. On Sundays they host mediaval feasts in the catacombs. Go to Bubes for dinner and head down to the Catacombs. You'll be very glad that you did!

The Country Table Restaurant is a very nice local restaurant and bake shop. The thing I like best about the Country Table is their breakfast. They have wonderful food and it is a very nice restaurant. The one thing about this restaurant is that it does cost more money than some people would like to spend.

Bube's always seems to have something going on. Beyond the amazing atmosphere of the Catacombs, Bube's also hosts performances from a variety of bands in the bar portion of the restaurant, open mic nights, and karaoke every Sunday night. There's also a hotel (Alois), in which their entertainers will host Murder Mysteries. Visit their website (which is accurate and up-to-date and available on this listing) for more information regarding events.
Pros: amazing atmosphere, and there's always something going on

Hennigans restaurant is a very good place to eat with delicious food for a small price. They have an outside deck and bar to eat at and an inside restaurant. They have televisions everywhere with sports games and news channels on so you can catch up with whats going on. Also, their staff is very kind and they are great on keeping you happy and excited about going back there again.

We have eaten here many times and have found very good food. This is not the typical sit-down seafood restuarant in many ways... I mean it started as a TINY seafood market which has moved and expanded to include table service... The service can be a little on the slow side but they do provide great jobs for many of the local high schoolers and they all need to start somewhere... If you want higher prices and "faster" service feel free to drive to Lancaster, Harrisburg or York but if you want GREAT seafood at reasonable rates with a little wait... then this is the place for you!

You have to eat here, Wonderful food, with great service. Many selections of home cooked food. Plenty of room. The children receive a wooden nickel at the end of their meal to use in the adjoining bakery. Fresh baked peis, which you can call in and order to pick at any time. Also attached is their own Country Craft Stor. You can find a gift for everyone in here.

I've eaten Hummer's meat quite a few times and I have never been disappointed! The prices are reasonable and they offer packages that you can get which save you even more money. The meat is tender, fresh, and they offer various kinds of meat. The staff members are friendly and try to make you as happy as possible. Great local butcher shop.
