I liked working out at this gym, but the sales staff can be quite pushy when they're trying to get you to buy one of their packages.
There can also be issues (even fights!) when someone goes beyond their 30 minutes on the cardio machines during rush time.
But overall the gym is nice, clean, with lots of equipment.

I was literally done in no more than 7 minutes. I think the barber was used to giving military buzz cuts because I had asked for a size 2 clipper guard to be used and not a size 1. I also had a small nick on the back of my neckline which looks like a minor baldspot. The barber didnt even offer to style it quickly with any gel or mousse. Thoroughly unsatisfied and would not recommend this place to anyone even if the rest of the barber shops went out of business. I guess the upside is that walk-ins are always welcome since they have no business at all.

Right next door to Supercuts, though much better at cutting men's hair.
The prices are extremely reasonable.
ALL the stylists are great with men's and boys haircuts.
If you go on a saturday or sunday morning, you are going to have a wait.
The service, however, is quick and concise.
I wouldn't necessarily go here for women's haircuts.

This is my gym. There is everything that you could need in a gym. Pool, sauna. In the work out room itself they have many of the same machine, you never have to wait for one to open up. They have stairs, treadmills, elliptical, rowing, bicycle, and tons more which I can't even name! I like that it is organized in that when you want to use a machine you put your name on the board, the time you got on, and the time you got off. That way everybody knows whats going on. They also have mats if you want to stretch, yoga balls, weights. They give you guest passes so you can take your friends once in a while.

If you are looking for a good local gym the El Camino YMCA is a good place to go to. They offer a lot of services including child care, massage therapists, parenting classes, toddler gym programs, swimming classes for children and summer camp programs for children. The gym itself was remodeled just a few years ago and now has a very large cardio and weight room with a ton of equipment. Downstairs there is a basketball court and class rooms where they offer a wide variety of exercise classes. I like this gym because it is a place you can just go and work out - it is not a pick up place - lots of normal people just exercising.

La Monique's is so good, my Mother-in-law times her visits up from Irvine to coincide with her need for a pedicure. For $25, you'll get a wonderful hour of soaking, scrubbing, nail-trimming, massaging (including a hot-rock calf rub!) and paraffin wax dip. Oh, and the polish, of course! The girls are friendly, the atmosphere is jovial, and the instruments and tub are sparkling clean. I count few things a bargain, but a La Monique pedicure is among them!

The Club has pretty much everything you want in a health club--fitness classes, yoga, weights, cardio equipment, spinning, basketball, racquetball. It's not fancy, but the nice thing is that you won't get a whole singles scene thing going on--just a good workout. They charge a lot less than the Y, too--about $50/month for a single. The only drawback is that they don't have a pool, but if that doesn't bother you, then this place is great.

More
I did about four months of the mysore ashtanga program at Yoga is Youthfulness ("YiY") and it was great - the best practice ever. (I stopped because I changed jobs.) The teachers are talented and most importantly, they are friendly. They do everything with good humor. If you want to learn more about ashtanga or mysore, check out their website.
YiY has other yoga classes, too as well as occasional parties and monthly hikes. They're a really friendly group and the students come from diverse backgrounds.
If you are in the area, please check it out.

More
I read great reviews online and went for a full set acrylics. Linda did my nails and she left me during the process at least three times to take care of other customers and/or payments. She also was very rough and as I pulled back she grabbed my fingers harder and ended up tearing my skin to bleed w the metal buffer(?). As I was telling her to please be .. (gentle) she said "I KNOW" without letting me finish, grabbed me harder and blamed it on me that I'm not relaxing. At the end, I wondered if she'd give me a discount or even an apology but she charged me full price 25 without a single sorry, so I decided to use my 10% off coupon. She didn't even look at the coupon and printed out my receipt which was still at 25, so I asked her why did she not use my 10%, and she claimed that she did bc it was originally 30. I called ahead to ask the price, and on the price list, acrylics were 25, and of course, 10% of 30 would be 27, not 25 anyway. She knew I wouldn't come back so she gave me the worst service ever!
