I love it so much, I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there! I went on the recommendation of KNBR's Ralph Barbiari. It is the best thin crust pizza out there. I like my pie with fresh garlic and the minestrone soup is great! Cool place to hang out with friends.
Pros: Beautiful service people and Great food!
Cons: No reservations taking and lack of parking

I frequent Yakko Sushi every other week for a late weekday dinner and for business with various co-workers. It is always a great environment with a great staff that is always willing to go the extra effort to get to know their returning customers. For those not in the know, it is always a blast when they host their special events and bring out the sake machine. Now, I am not much of a sake drinker, but when one can pour sake as it were a slurpee then it is definitely worth mentioning. As much as I enjoy traditional sushi, nigiri and sashimi, every time I visit Yakko?s I solely order from the sushi roll menu because they offer some of the spiciest rolls that my taste buds have ever tasted. My favorites are the Arizona roll and the Washington roll, not to be thrown off by the Americanized names, they are to rave about because the flavors are extraordinary and with the hint of wasabi in the soy sauce, then it is party in my mouth with every bite. Beyond the sushi, there is also a wide assortment of delicious appetizers and entrees one can sink their teeth into. And as a dessert, the chef always surprises us with a specially prepared plate of food that he comes up with on the spot; it is always different every visit. Last time we were treated to baby octopi coated in a very spicy sauce. Yakko Sushi is must for all sushi lovers living in Mounatin View and the adjacent communities.

I decided a while ago to tell as many people as possible about my amazing experience I had with this company. Last summer, I accidentally came across their website. I read different reviews (bad and good) on a few reviews sites. I really wanted to see what all the happy customers were all raving about. Two weeks later I took a little stroll down the block and went into the office. Immediately, I felt at home. It wasn’t like the average office where everyone is running around, phones ringing, or papers and faxes being handed out from person to person. This place was very relaxed and chilled out. The staff there was very polite and it was quiet. Just from the office itself, I was ready to sign up on the spot. I spoke to all the right people and mad all the right arrangements before joining. I then met with Lynne. She took me into her office, sat me down, and said “Paul, what’s up”. Normally, when you meet a stranger who expects you to tell you entire life story, they usually start by saying “so tell me a little about yourself”. I got the feeling for what she said that she wasn’t a fake. That she only interested in making money. About three hours later, the interview came to an end. Lynne and I said goodbye and I went home. All though I accepted that nothing was going to happen overnight, I had a feeling it was going to happen much quicker than usual.A few days later, Lynne called my cell and told me all about the next six person date. She had already contacted five other singles and was working on setting all of us up on a dinner date. I was really impressed at how fast she worked. With no hesitation, I told her “I’m in”. The dinner was very nice. Lynne chose the perfect restaurant, a nice sit down Mexican place with a very warm feeling and a relaxing vibe. The staff was nice and the food was good. But the best part, were my table mates. We all got along very well and were all very alike. I didn’t meet any girls that were suitable for marriage, but I had an amazing time and was very excited to see what Lynne would do next.
I told Lynne about my night the next day and started working on the next date. Another week went by when I received an e-mail from her. I called her back and finalized another date. As before, the date was at very relaxing place. This time it was Chinese. The people at my table were a lot of fun and the food was good. Basically, this date was exactly like the last one except one thing. I met someone perfect. Someone so perfect that I got the chills the first time I looked at. Her name was Kelly and I knew there was something about her. I didn’t know what, but I knew there was something. The whole night, we all talked and laughed together. It was nice to be in a crowd of other singles with the same likes and dislikes. There wasn’t any tension or shyness on anyone’s part. Ok, I know this part is hard to believe but I kid you not, later on THAT SAME NIGHT Lynne called me and told me that Kelly had already called her about me. Apparently she really liked me and wants a personal date with me. I was so happy that I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs while jumping around. The second date happened about three weeks later. It took a while because my boss at work gave me a ton of work to do which took up most of my free time. The wait finally ended when we went to a really nice place. We really connected and I knew there was going to another date. There WAS another date. Actually, there were seven more till we finally agreed that we were able to continue on without Lynne. Although we still kept Lynne posted on our progress we became very serious. Eventually we got engaged. The wedding is in six weeks and the credit all goes to Lynne and the rest of the staff.

This place has it all! There food and the service were great! If I have those 2 things, then my night is set! They have a big selection (vegetarian, too) and everything I've tried has been fantastic. My favorites are the Papaya Salad (Som Tum), Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken or Duck Panang Curry, and my new favorite, Honey Pork. The service is fantastic. Their attentive and friendly EVERY time. If you like spicy food, you can vary the heat with a 1-5 heat system. Also try the pickled jalapenos (not thai chiles) in the little pepper rack with your meal. You have to ask for it and it goes along great with your meal. Adds even another layer of flavor. They're not open all day, so make sure you check the dining hours. They also have outside tables if it's one of those sunny days.
Pros: Good Food, Good Service

We have tried so many raman place and this is definitely the best. The Ryowa original is good but a bit on the heavy side. Butter corn is the best. The kimchi there is also excellent. Ryowa was ranked 5 in a Mercury News review last year but after trying the number 1 and number 2 places, I think Ryowa should ranked first.
