Any of the Hobee's are pretty good around the bay area. Great portions of pretty much any of their dishes. Can't miss the coffee cake. More

i've been to this location a few times, everytime bad service, but good food. last time, they forgot my orange juice and when i tried to cancel it, they said they could not get the machine to take the order off, so they brought a large oj at the end of the meal and pretty much i was forced to chug it.

Hobbies use to be the spot for a good breakfast. I'm always disappointed lately when I order breakfast. Their lunch menu still seems to be good, but breakfast has been cold, not flavorful and I left feeling underwhelmed.
The best thing about breakfast is by far the coffee cake!
PROS: One of the few breakfast places in town
CONS: Quality of the food and service has gone down hill

Good place for weekend brunch or even weekday breakfast meeting. Low key atmosphere. Food is good, nothing earthshaking, but consistent. Lots of healthful alternatives. Tofu scramble is nice.

I like to go here on Friday's for lunch because their special is eggs benedict (a few different varieties). (Other locations don't seem to have this on Fridays) Hobee's is a small chain that has an independent breakfast shop feel. The only thing I don't like about it is that it always smells like the good earth cinnamon tea, which is a little overwhelming. I like many of their egg dishes (the spinach scramble) and their tuna sandwhich is refreshing. I've never been here for dinner, so I can't speak to that.

We've gone to hobbies for a few years now. This is a great breakfast joint. I've only had the breakfast so I'm not sure about the lunch. They make fresh blueberry bread coffee cake, but I don't really eat sweet foods for breakfast. Everyone else raves about it though, so I assume it's a great treat. The scrambles are really good and I've always have had great service at this location. Like most good breakfast joints Hobbies is very crowded during the weekend breakfast, but seriously, worth the wait.

Hobee's is always known for their great food that has great taste and is good value. The Hobee's on Central and Rengstorf is one of the smallest and most intimate of the chain's stores but feels like it is more part of the community that a chain restaurant. The service is superb and the food is great and always consistent. Coffee cake to die for, great toast, hi-hat hashbrowns, florentine scramble, and much more. The seasonal specials are alot of fun as well.
PROS: Great food, generally no waiting, outstanding service
CONS: Parking can be inconvenient at times
