No need to keep it a secret-- I think everyone knows already, from the line at lunch! But this is the cheapest tastiest thing I've found in the Palo Alto - Sunnyvale corridor. It's a proper grill-style taqueria, and on weekends you have to try the ceviche tostadas. Shrimp fajitas, grilled chicken nachos, the giant quesidilla are all favorites of mine as well. And breakfast is cheap and good-- whether you want traditional bacon and eggs or huevos. Aqua fresca, fresh squeezed OJ... what else do you want? (and sometimes, around two, you can see the owner practicing his lasso twirling in the parking lot.)

If you want solid Mexican food, you need to check this place out. The food is the most authentic in Mountain View and it is priced reasonably. The hard part is getting a table during lunchtime.
Also, if you are ever in the area in the morning, you have to try the breakfast burrito. You probably won't have room for lunch, but its a great way to start the day.

This taqueria is becoming more popular, but so far, we've never had to wait for a table, even with 2 kids in high chairs (which they have) at prime dinner time.
All of their food is excellent, but my personal favorite is the Carne Asada (pork) Super Burrito (one step larger is the Jumbo which also has lettuce and tomato). It's awesome and totally filling. Fresh pico de gallo and other types of salsa while you wait. The staff: they're quick to serve, responsive and friendly.
They also have the authentic meats, including tongue, for the more adventurous. Mix and match any meat to the way you like it prepared...
Other pluses include:
1) Wonderful fresh orange-carrot juice made with their professional grade juicer. (a bit pulpy)
2) inexpensive and good-portions of breakfast
Drawbacks: 1) bathroom is a quick jaunt outside around a corner into another part of the building. Not a big deal unless it's raining (which is rare).
2) It's a little loud (we love it becuase our boys like to sing) and they often have the TV on some obscure Spanish language channel.
