I heard the restaurant was very popular so I went to try their Ramen with my friend for the first time. The restaurant was crowded. About 10 people were waiting to be seated so I was excited and expected to have great Ramen. Within 10 minutes, we were seated. So far very good. I ordered my favorite kind of Ramen and waited about 10 minutes. It was quick. I tasted it?. what is this? It?s tasteless!! I?ve never had bad ramen like this in my life. Maybe what I ordered was bad. I?ll try again and order different ramen to try. If I found it good, I?ll update this review. Otherwise, believe me, they are not good at all.
Pros: quick service
Cons: tasteless ramen

The name isn't posted outside (in English, anyway). There's always a huge line. There are no tables, only a crowded counter that snakes around the room. It's noisy. The menu is ramen and not much else.
But the service is fast - they took my order while I was still waiting to be seated, and served me within a few minutes of sitting down. The servers race around non-stop but deliver the requested food and checks quickly. The prices are reasonable - just fifty cents more gets you a side of rice and potstickers. And the ramen is delicious, full and flavorful, and just heavenly on a cold day. Perhaps a little high on sodium, but that's true of most ramen. There's a manga library if you want some reading material or something to stare quizzically at.
One of my new favorite lunch spots!
Pros: great food, fast service, fair prices
Cons: crowded, long wait

The ramen dishes are just ok. A little bit too salty though. If you are watching your sodium in take, DONT go there! On the flip side, the prices are quite reasonable. Big portions.

We have tried so many raman place and this is definitely the best. The Ryowa original is good but a bit on the heavy side. Butter corn is the best. The kimchi there is also excellent. Ryowa was ranked 5 in a Mercury News review last year but after trying the number 1 and number 2 places, I think Ryowa should ranked first.

This is definitely not a kid friendly restaurant. The raman is good and they have decent variety and I used to go there before kids. But 90% of the seating is at a bar on bar stools. I think they have 3 or 4 tables that seat 4. But the place gets crowded, so you'll likely have to wait.

Ryowa only provides miso soup-based ramen. The flavor of the soup may be strong and too salty for light-flavor eaters. The distinctive character of Ryowa is that they provide free all-you-can-eat kimichi. There is also bookshelves full of comic books available for reads too. If it is your first time, I would recommend the Ryowa Original, which is basically miso with sesame seeds flavor noodle soup, and it goes well with the over-the-counter kimichi garnish.
PROS: all u can eat kimichi
CONS: not a lot of variety

Can't believe I found this place. Just like the noodle houses in Japan. People slurrping all around, tvs playing shows I have no idea what they are saying, and wonderfully HOT noodles! I love to see people standing in the doorway in a neat little line, waiting. Your meal time is usually less than 15 minutes. In and out-content!

This restaurant found in Downtown Mountain View contains a very authentic Japanese feel. The ramen is very good; however, the fried chiken is the best. I suggeset everyone to go there at least twice to try the Buttermilk Ramen and the Fried chicken. Some people may also want to try the Lu Dan.
