Pasta Trattoria

Their Lunch Special $9.95 sign shows a beautiful Spaghetti Tarantina (w/mussels). But when you go to order they give you a special lunch menu with various pasta selections, but NO TARANTINA. So we had to order it at regular price $11.95, no soup/salad, no beverage. The waiter wouldn't serve it as the lunch special. Also said the manager "left". Sent an e-mail of my complaint to their web-site. CAN'T BELIEVE their stupid answer. Said they weren't advertising the Tranatina, they just used one of their best plate "fotografs" (they can't spell, either). Their reply was totally INSULTING. Whoever wrote the reply should find another job, other than customer relations/customer satisfaction. Needless to say, this type of business and lack of honesty doesn't deserve respecful customers. There are more honest places to eat. Good Luck! more

Pasta? has lots of great pasta dishes all for a resonable price ($8-12). It also has a full bar where you can order many great beers and wines. Pasta? is located on Mountain View's castro street, where there are lots of extra cafes and dessert shops that you can go grab ice cream or gelato afterwards. Pasta? has great desserts as well, but why not go out when so many other cafes and shops are next door or a block away. Some of my favorite dishes at Pasta?: the pasta al samone (pasta with salmon) in a nice tomato cream sauce, and the gniocci with pesto sauce. Service is also great at Pasta?; the waiters are friendly and fast. Our waters were always filled and our waiter came back to ask how we were doing several times. more

Pasta ? is a great little place on Castro. I love the atmosphere and the waiters! The food isn't bad either. When I went there, I got pasta. The sauce of the pasta was good. There weren' t many other people there when I went there, but now when I pass the restaurant (especially during lunch and dinner time) I see tons and tons of people there! People also like to sit outside and watch the people walk by. It is truly a nice place to eat! more

Pasta? What can I say about pasta? Pasta is pasta even in Africa! Well, maybe not in Africa but you get the point. It was just pasta nothing too special.Nothing bad either. Just a good place to go if you're in the mood for pasta. It is a bit crowded during lunch time. But generaly the atmosphere is quite nice. Thereare tables outsise as well as in. Great location. more
