I frequent Yakko Sushi every other week for a late weekday dinner and for business with various co-workers. It is always a great environment with a great staff that is always willing to go the extra effort to get to know their returning customers. For those not in the know, it is always a blast when they host their special events and bring out the sake machine. Now, I am not much of a sake drinker, but when one can pour sake as it were a slurpee then it is definitely worth mentioning. As much as I enjoy traditional sushi, nigiri and sashimi, every time I visit Yakko?s I solely order from the sushi roll menu because they offer some of the spiciest rolls that my taste buds have ever tasted. My favorites are the Arizona roll and the Washington roll, not to be thrown off by the Americanized names, they are to rave about because the flavors are extraordinary and with the hint of wasabi in the soy sauce, then it is party in my mouth with every bite. Beyond the sushi, there is also a wide assortment of delicious appetizers and entrees one can sink their teeth into. And as a dessert, the chef always surprises us with a specially prepared plate of food that he comes up with on the spot; it is always different every visit. Last time we were treated to baby octopi coated in a very spicy sauce. Yakko Sushi is must for all sushi lovers living in Mounatin View and the adjacent communities.

I've been going to Yakko for over a year and refuse to go anywhere else. This is not a frills sushi place, this is a straight up, fresh sushi and great people. I always sit at the sushi bar and talk to the chefs and meet great locals as well. If you're not an experienced sushi eater, this is a great place as well.
Pros: Affordable, good parking
Cons: The break in times they are open.

This is a small intimate japanese restaurant. We've been here many times. The fish is always fresh. They don't have too many fancy hand roll and special sushi. But the quality is always good.

the food was very fresh but presentation was average. rainbow roll was composed of the tail end of the fish. The last piece of the roll barely had any fish on it. Miso soup had a funky aftertaste. It wasnt a busy night but it was still difficult to get the waitresses attention. the only positives were the sushi pieces.

I brought my (very picky) roommate here for her birthday, and we both loved it! The sushi was fresh, very flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great service - the waitress brought us an additional sushi roll (Hot Night - recommended only if you enjoy spicy food) because we were celebrating a birthday (although she was a little slow). I recommend everything we ate: Hot Night, Godzilla roll, Spider roll, tuna sashimi.
Pros: close to downtown MV, very fresh sushi
Cons: Pricier than I expect
