I love it so much, I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there! I went on the recommendation of KNBR's Ralph Barbiari. It is the best thin crust pizza out there. I like my pie with fresh garlic and the minestrone soup is great! Cool place to hang out with friends.
Pros: Beautiful service people and Great food!
Cons: No reservations taking and lack of parking

I've been there twice and both times were great. I love the idea of order dishes and sharing it means you get a lot more variety. I loved the Ceviche and my husband likes the Beef Adobo Shortrib.
This is a fun place to take friends. We will be going back again for sure.

I found the bread to be better than the food, but it was probably the meal I ordered and not the entire menu. i ordered the half & half- halfof the plate was spinach and veal ravioli, and half was spaghetti. The spaghetti was good but I didn't care for the ravioli. The prices are high, but I don't find them unreasonable for a authentic italian place. The bread sticks were to die for.
Pros: great service, great appetizer, not crowded
Cons: veal/spinachravioli, could be expensive

My boss and I had an excellent lunch today and left very full and satisfied! Every entree we had was delicious , the service was excellent and the place was very clean and inviting! The mushroom appetizer, chopped salad and chicken parm - highly reccomended! I would suggest this restaurant anytime to anyone! I am sure their pizza is amazing as well. Great place to dine for large parties as well. They also have 4 other locations!!
Pros: Mushroom app - to die for! Excellent Chopped Salad

This place is very popular and they are always packed (the line usually moves fast) on the weekend all the way till closing time. They are open late, so you can have Gelato at 10 or 11pm on the weekends when all the other local places are closed. They are right downtown near lots of local restaurants and bars, so you can just walk down the street after your meal for dessert. The Gelato is great with dozens of flavors, so there is somthing that will please everybody.
Pros: Great Gelato, Right downtown, Lots of flavors

Went to lunch with co-workers to Mario's - a fast paced, noisy, boring-exterior restaurant - I expected little but was very pleasantly surprised. The dining area is clean, bright and cheerful. The wait staff is friendly, attentive & accommodating - in spite of the fast pace. I ordered water with no ice & extra lemon, pasta with extra gravy, salad with dressing on the side and NO PARMIGIAN CHEESE PLEASE. The waitress never missed a beat. My colleagues eat at Mario's once a week as part of their ethnic-dining lunchtime routine. Upside - good variety menu, yummy flat bread they call pizza-bread, tasty pasta served nice and hot, fresh salad (not the bagged stuff), generous portion, friendly staff, good value and pound cake. Downside - not easy to find, noisy, no designated waiting area, wait staff scurry around - that's about it. Next time I'm having the chicken marsala!
Pros: Ambience, Wait Staff, Portions, Value, Tasty Food
Cons: Noisy, Fast Paced

Great place to go for a good lunch. There are too many things on the menu I enjoy. Don't be in a hurry though. The staff is such a delight but they believe in giving you time to eat. If you are in a rush let them know ahead of time.
They serve dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings also.

This Italian eatery is a great choice for those who like Italian food that's a bit edgier. Pasta, of course, serves great pasta, as well as several appetizing salads. The restaurant is a classy cafe- so most people who frequent the place are young professional types, or those out for a stroll on Castro Street.
