This is a great place for kids to go for gymnastics. The coaches are top notch and the after school programs are excellent. They even have a rock climbing section that the kids enjoy wholeheartedly.

I used to take gymnastics lessons there. Twisters is a great place to go to if you want to learn gymnastics. The instructors are great and the facility itself is big. My favorite memory of Twisters was the haunted house they used to have on Halloween. It was actually really scary! I love Twisters Gym and I definitely recommend it! This gym has everything a gymnast would ever need, I can see why it is so popular with locals, it is wonderful!

This is, without a doubt, NOT one of the best elementary schools in Mountain View. The academics here are horrible! The class sizes in grades 4 and 5 are big--almost 30 students on average! Stay away from this school if you want your child to get a decent education! I recommend Bubb Elementary instead of this one, it is much better than this school.

This is one of the best private schools in the area. Since it IS a Catholic school the students all have to take RE (religious education.) You do have to apply here and pass tests to get in. They have very good sports programs, especially tennis. They are sort of associated with another private school Belermen, a school for boys. The girls often go to the Belermen dances since the boys over there are just boys. They offer a good summer school program, but it is expensice, $700.

If you've never seen a PYT mainstage show, then you probably don't realize how professional their productions are. If anyone saw 'Disney's Beauty and the Beast' at the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts (runs thru 11/20- although almost all sold out now), you'll know what I mean. The sets, costumes and lighting are designed professionally and the directors, choreographers and music directors have tons of experience. And you'll be amazed at the level of talent in the kids. I have a son who's performing in his 9th show with PYT and we love the whole experience. The shows for the rest of the season are Cats, Honk, Wonderland and Annie Get Your Gun. You and your kids will all love the experience.

MVHS is just your average public high school -- except that it is better than most. It has good academics; most graduates get into UC/CSU schools and some even attend ivy league colleges and MIT. MVHS also has good extracurricular activities and most of the teachers are very good. I definitely recommend this high school!!!

This is not the best school in the area, but compared to other schools on California it is actually no THAT bad (but still, California is behind all other states in education so I wouldnt really compare myself to that.) Part of the reason is that like most school, Monta Loma has a lot of English learners. Schools like Bubb are more prefered on the area.

I relied on Maternal Connections quite a bit when my son was born and nursing was difficult. The lactation consultants were so kind and helpful, even calling to follow up and see how things were progressing. The store there carries a great selection of nursing bras and the lactation consultants will fit you for the correct size. They also carry nursing tops, and other baby items like slings and sleep sacks and rent hospital grade pumps. In addition they have a community room and library. We are really luck to have this resource in our community!
