This store is nice to browse through but the beads are priced way too expensive. The staff with the exception of two are not very helpful. The clothing is somewhat unique but the styles can also be found in the boutique shops of Downtown Santa Cruz as well. I can get better deals on beads and findings at Natural Expressions in Los Gatos.

While their selection is overwhelmingly large, I've found that most of the staff (with the exception of Radha and Rosa) can be pretty apathetic. At times, the salesperson could barely tear herself away from her cell phone to respond to questions. I also took a class, wire-wrapping, taught by Rosa. While the instructor seemed knowledgeable and she did teach us the basic technique, I expected to learn much more in 2 hours. Instead, much of the time was spent in small-talk, and the class was cut short.

Please do not buy anything here!!! The prices are crazy...seems like they get cheap indian beads and bells from india and sell it for exhorbitant rates. I saw a bell for $15!!!!! It's won't even cost me 15 cents in India. The beads are expensive too...i would suggest going to the gem show at san mateo and getting quality stuff for lower rates.

If you’re into craft stuff, and like to create your own signature line of jewelry then this is your store. It has everything-a-ma-bob needed to make special one of a kind necklaces, bracelets, and charms. Beads, Strings, Cloths, and Yarns are all in abundance. And it’s a friendly open locale that people just wonder around browsing. There’s ribbon and random little knick-knacks all over that will just make you want to pick them up and touch. And that’s the point! (Classes are offered here, too!)

Global beads in downtown Mountain View offers a good selection of beads, particularly ethnic beads from Africa and Asia. The store is pretty large and they also sell clothing and incense. The more expensive beads and findings such as Swarkovski crystals or sterling silver or gold are found behind the counter; you have to ask the saleperson to see them. I found the beads a little pricer than other bead supply stores in the South bay, but Global beads is conveniently located less than a block away from the Mountain View Caltrain station. PROS: Convenient Good location, good selection CONS: Pricey
