This is a small friendly repair shop that works on everything under the sun. They are located at the end of Castro St. near the Cal Train station--kind of in the parking lot behind the stores that front on Castro St. The guys there are the best. Mark Downey is the manager and is always willing to go a little out of his way to accommodate. And Derek Bros, the red-haired kid, is a whiz at fixing anything--plus is willing to be late to his advanced automotives class to take care of you. They do free brake inspections--and I do mean free! They had to slave over my rusted rear brake drums and it took a long time. They finally got it off and everything was fine inside--but there was no grumbling or attitude. They didnt charge me anything and were still friendly! Their prices are not cheap--$91.50/hr--but they charge for fractions of an hour. I have always gotten good service here and feel like it was worth the money because they are so honest and are willing to go the extra mile for you and not charge you for every inch of it!
