DE-LISH DEEP DISH! The crust takes some getting used to - they carmalize it! Once you realize it's not burned, but intentional, you'll go back to this place over & over again for deep dish pizza! P.S. Their lincoln park location just recently re-opened!
Cons: all deep dish takes a long time

Very nice staff, good food, reasonable prices. We ordered apple pancakes over the phone to be picked up-they take an hour to cook- so the women asked how far away do you live-and then said she'd call when they were about ready so we could get them hot. That was really nice..it's rare that places go out of their way like that anymore!
Pros: Very nice staff and owner
Cons: none

If you like me are a vegen and would like to have a try at the Thai cuisine, this place is a must go. I liked the variety they offer for the vegetarians. The concoction we ordered was delicious and plentiful and the condiments that accompanied (crushed peanuts, chilly flakes and sauces) added flavor and zest to the food. They have a good selection of deserts also

Giordano's specializes in deep dish (thick crust) pizza, using their outstanding crust, sauce and cheese. You can call an order ahead and it is ready when you arrive. We usually prefer doing that to eating in,
Another nice feature is that coupons frequently show up in local mailers.
They have great pizza. i enjoy it and I will be ordering from them again sometime soon.

This is a small place located in Morton Grove that serves authentic Thai food with just the right blend of spices. We had pad thai which was just right with cruncy peanuts and savory noodles. The cafe itself is small but very well maintained. The prices are ok and the staff courteaus and friendly

The Seven Brothers restaurant has been on Waukegan Road for years. They are open almost 24 hours, and have an American menu, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We go there often for breakfast. On weekends (for breakfast at least), both sides of the restaurant are open, and one side is non-smoking only. Or, you can sit at the counter and get counter service and read your newspaper. They always have specials as well. The waitresses have been there for years, and are always friendly and quick. Someone will always refill your coffee cup. We've been there for dinner a few times, too, but usually when we're especially hungry because by the time you finish the juice and salad and main course and dessert you've hit the breaking point. There is plenty of parking, and it's pretty busy on weekends for breakfast, so you might have to wait a bit.

I've been here a number of times for lunch or dinner. The service is quick and friendly. The food tastes very fresh. I enjoy the tum yum soup and they don't skimp on the veggies! I've taken a number of people there throughout the years and they all love it too.

Before the tv show coverage, Burt's Place was a hole-in-the-wall, old timey, hidden gem of a place that only those looking for great Chicago-style deep dish pizza without any flashy-ness knew of. Its still is.
Burt and his wife run a very laid-back little place. Yeah, its not fancy. It never pretended to be. Sure, its quirky: you have to call in your order an hour ahead of arriving; its located in a converted blacksmith shop; its not spotless and cookie-cutter new; and the staff consists of Burt and his wife--who are real people. But for years, that's why people have come to this wonderful place. The quirkiness and the pizza.
Burt's a living legend of the Chicago pizza scene. Look him up.
His pizza is the caramelized, thin outer-edges, thick, but light bottom crust, deep dish pizza like you might have had a Pequods. Which makes sense since he founded that perennial favorite. However, he knows just when to pull the pie from the oven--before the edges burn.
The few other things on the menu are easily forgettable--except the Great Lakes beer. Then again, you shouldn't come to Burt's for anything but the pizza and a beer.
Not surprised the other reviewers didn't dig Burt's. Its not for everyone. That's why Burt's Place is "Pizza for Adults."
Pros: Terrific pizza and service. Treat you like family.
Cons: Calling ahead takes forethought.

This is another place my friend Jason and I like to hang out from time to time and watch USC football games. I always liked it a bit more than he did because the waitresses were willing to flirt a little bit more. I also liked the atmosphere and the layout of the place. I always enjoyed looking at the big screen and watching the games and the tables with the high stool-like chairs.
There isn't much flash at this Champs. This is not to be confused with the chain of bars with the two "Ps" in the name. This is not quite as flashy, which also sort of appeals to me. I tend to like the more neighborhood bar kind of places than the big chain places.
Plus, it's nice to have a place where you can flirt with the waitresses, even when you look like me.

This is another well thought out family style restaurant that has been in business for years. We used to go here more frequently but have since moved from the immediate area and don't go in as often as we used to, but we still go! The food is great, the service fabulous, and my husband calls it the 'never empty coffee cup'. Big menu, lots to choose from and great price.
