Located on Historic Speedwell Avenue, this "little" shoe shop is one of the best in the business in Northern New Jersey. Selling primarily Red Wing and Allen Edmonds products and services, the guys at MPShoes start off your visit right.
After taking my measurements, they asked me what kind of shoe I was in need of, looked at my current shoes, and immediately identified that I had an irregular step in my walk that affected the wear on my shoes. They showed me what they were talking about, and I was floored. I never knew! They explained how my walk wears down the sole of my shoe and affects the insole as well.
Afterwards, we picked out an excellent Red Wing boot, which he adjusted for me to accommodate my unusual step. He then provided me with a complimentary leather conditioner package, and invited me back so he could check how the wear was working on my shoe. I had that pair of boots for four years.
These guys are experienced in shoes, moreso than anyone else I visitied during my 26 years in NJ. I think you'll be impressed if you need shoes or boots. Some of their stuff can be expensive, but when you're dealing with a quality store with quality products, it's very worth it.

My wife and I go out of our way to experience interesting food anywhere within a few hours of our Rockaway, NJ home. What a surprise to find this gem in our backyard!
It's not ostentatious. It's a BYO. You may not be familiar with the menu selections. But if you want an explosion of taste, you must visit this place.
Try the pickled mushrooms. Sounds nasty, doesn't it? But imagine that these large 'rooms are drowned in savory spices rather than brine. They are out-of-this world good.
This far surpasses Chand Palace, Mogul, any of the places on lower Lexington Ave in NYC or on Oak Tree Road in Edison, NJ. It's made us rethink our concept of Indian cuisine.
I suggest asking the friendly wait staff for their advice. They've never steered us wrong in our extraordinary culinary adventures at Cinammon.

Diamond Phil's is a jewelry store (if you couldn't tell) in Morris Plains off Route 10. It's not a big shop which I think is a good thing in the Jewelry Business. Phil's is not based on quantity sales like chains. You'll get the personal attention you need.
In addition to the on display items, he's got plenty of catalogs and can make specialty items for you as well. Watch batteries can be replaced plus cleanings. It's full service.
He's been in business the better part of 15 years and has become a staple in the local community. I've bouthg plenty of items for myself and loved ones over all the years.
Phil is the owner and he's there every day so you'll definitely see him. I've been in there so much as a customer that he's become a personal friend. You tell him Jason sent you there, if you go. In the event, he's not sure which Jason (he may know more than one), make sure you tell him the one from the neighborhood that's in the Air Force now. Oh, tell him we'll go out for a beer on my next visit too... Thanks. ;)

This is a great restaurant on route 202 in Morris Plains. The menu has a great variety. The hambugers are great and the ribs are absolutely my favorite. It has a nice atmosphere and you can even eat outside when it is nice weather. This is a nice place for a business lunch or even to watch a sporting event.

I cry daily over the fact that where I live now, there is no Tiffany's. The food is fantastic. The best Chicken Alfredo I have ever had (the alfredo sauce is nice and thick, and it comes with two pieces of great, crusty garlic bread). The BEST baby back ribs I have ever had - the meat literally falls off the bone. That comes with a dressed sweet potatoe and cornbread. Their wraps and sandwiches are filling and very tastey. If it's summer, make sure you request patio seating. Good place to take large groups - but call ahead, of course!
The wait staff were always prompt and friendly - especially with the grated at the table parmesean.
Good beer and wine selection, many TVs in the bar and they'll gladly switch to the game you want to watch (of course there's a preference for the NY teams!).
A really great place to grab a bite to eat in a casual setting!

Jonathan's Kosher Deli has the feel of a NY deli with all the same great taste. The over-stuffed sandwiches come out on fresly sliced rye packed with piping hot meat sliced right when you order it. It was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Only downside is it's a little bit pricier than a typical deli (sandwiches start around $8-9 and go as high as $15-$16 I think), but I still feel it's worth it for the amount and quality of food tht comes out.
Pros: lots of food, most made fresh daily, friendly service
Cons: slightly pricey

From its convenient location and relaxed atmosphere, it is the perfect hang out for the locals, including the students of Parsippany HIlls high school. They provide great pizza while still being cheap to appeal to the students. Besides pizza, they offer numerous delicious itlaian fare such as subs and salads. I highly recommend this pizzeria. One of the best in town.

This is by far the best deli in the tri-state area. With its old fashioned charm (including a vast collection of vintage sheet music that adorns the walls), a great and extensive menu, the best egg salad on the east coast, and a friendly staff (the managers and owner are way cute too!), Jonathan's is a must on everyone's list! A super place to host anything from a wedding party to a single's event too!
