As a former resident of New Jersey and now visitor, I can safely say NJ has it all - tons of 24 hour places, lots of convenience stores, great people, beautiful scenery, and Quick Chek. Quick Chek is certainly a convenience store, but it's so much more. Open 24 hours, this store brews a huge variety of decent coffee at all hours of the night, has a wide variety of household items you might decide you need at 3am, and - best of all - they make the BEST SUB IN NJ. I'm not kidding - they make it fresh on the spot, toast it, and put on all the goodies you can think of. At any time, day or night. The ingredients are fresh, the bread is fresh, everything is tasty, and there's a huge assortment of types of subs you can get. The one I go to - in Morris Plains, NJ - also has a fun staff of people who I always spend time talking to every time I go there. Nothing beats this place when I need something late at night, and only a sub will do the trick. I get a Quick-Chek sub every single time I visit NJ. No bull.
